Had my walk to the newsagents. Aborted it twice due to sporadic hailstorms, got halfway along the road and got soaked by another one....:D  . It was 3.2 miles and it took me 54 minutes. Got to the newsagent and he didn't sell football stickers  so I bought a 4-pint carton of milk.

Other spend today. £20.00 on petrol at Tesco's this morning ( earning 20 Clubcard points ), £2.27 on lunch and £1.44 on the milk.

:T :T ... for the boys of course. . The girl serving behind the counter gave me that kind of look as well. I'd have felt less embarrassed if I'd asked for a copy of Penthouse!! :rotfl:

Well that was a waste of 90 minutes of my time then...

Got down there, had a joint interview with another candidate then an easy aptitude test. The interviewer quietly slipped into the spiel that we'd have to pay for our own training which would cost £6,800 + VAT ( £7,990 ) plus other expenses along the way, probably another £1,000 at least.  . Maybe I was naive to think it would be free training but I wasn't expecting that level of financial commitment.

was the job self employed then? I thought the employer would cover it otherwise. bloomin expensive though!

    well done on the walking.:T

Yep, self employed. You could either stick with the training firm's sister company, go to work for another firm or alternately, just go completely freelance.

There will be a huge increase in the number of HIP's needing to be done but I'm afraid it's not for me.

    You cheeky mare!!! :D:D :T

Good day today and off out to skittles in an hour. Spent £2.27 on lunch, £1.76 on two baked spuds for tea and £2.10 on f******* s*******. Measured out another walk for tomorrow, made a new phone appointment with CCCS ( 17th March, 1.15pm ), sent off appeal against HB assessment, applied for a second account with Halifax to make budgeting easier, chased a couple of invoices that will now be paid at the end of this week and one of my customers booked a job to London next week...:j . Having the boys for three hours tomorrow as well...:D :D :j

    Half-decent day today...

Spent £20.00 on petrol ( Tesco for my clubcard points ), £2.19 on lunch, £1.05 on football stickers and £5.36 on shopping. This included a BOGOF on my favourite shower gel ( Palmolive Anti-Stress as you're asking )...:D

Booked another two fixtures for the boys tonight, that makes 20 out of 31 booked in now. Seems weird talking about planning matches as far ahead as April 2009 but if it's done now, we can all relax.

Had the boys today for four hours which was nice. Won't be long before the lighter nights come around and football training switches to a field on a Wednesday. This will mean I'll have them an extra four hours a week for nearly six months....:j :D :j

    Good day so far...:D

Spoke to the boys this morning and afterwards had a word with their mum. I'd suggested picking them up on a Friday morning and taking them to school. They stay every weekend but I have to meet her at their school to pick up their little cases so it makes sense if I pick them up from home. She agreed!! :j . Football training starts on 2nd April on a Wednesday and it would make sense for me to pick them up from school that day too but there's still work to do on that one...

Been down to Yeovil today to proof-read the programme and bumped into the new chief executive who had a coffee and a chat with me ref some ticketing ideas. I'd love to work for the club, if only as a consultant for two days a week so I'm going to put together some sort of business plan to present to him once the season is over. Spent £1.76 on doughnuts /biscuits and £10.00 on petrol so far.
