    on this note, do you pronounce it "anty" or "arnty". I say the latter and my DP says the former, we can never agree!

    Arnty. I think it depends where you come from. Anyway, Brummies say Arnty.

    pronounce it anty. although I don't think I ever said it to an aunt, we just called them by their first name.

    i tend to use Aunty, although my best mate, my dd calls her aunty, she signs the card Auntie/

    so are aunty and auntie pronunced differently? I say them both the same (an-tee), I thought the querey was more over the correct spelling? :confused:

    I have always used Auntie. Have just checked in dictionary and either version is correct, although the plural is Aunties.

    I spell it Auntie, but I pronounce it Untee (can't spell it untie, because I don't pronounce it as untie lol - it's untee! :D )

    Aunty looks wrong to me too.
