Please don't take this the wrong way, but did you not work out what you could do when you became pregnant?
oh !!!!!! ~ WHY did you even need to bother to ask this question
OP ~ please dont feel you have to justify yourself and answer this question!:heartpuls baby no3 due 16th November :heartpulsTEAM YELLOWDFD 16/6/10"Shut your gob! Or I'll come round your houses and stamp on all your toys" The ONE, the ONLY, the LEGENDARY Gene Hunt :heart2:0 -
I Know i dont have to justify myself to complete strangers that seem to have to know all the in's and out's
But the babies were miracles!..
I might be skint lol... but i got 2 beautiful boys ... wonderful husband
In that sense .. i feel the luckiest person on the planet!!!!!0 -
I just wanted to say a great big belated congratulations!!!You must feel over the moon now to have 2 babies when you didnt expect to be able to have any.Lots of very hard work and happy times ahead I am sure.
If you cant afford to go back to work then dont, and dont beat yourself up over it.
Even with government help childcare is still very expensive while the babies are young. It may be something you can look at again when they reach a year old or even 2,as the childcare charges tend to go down as the age of the child increases.
Becoming a childminder would be a marvellous idea, good luck with that. You could also consider other forms of self-employment working from home.Look up your local business link or careers centre for ideas. Most areas have a womens business group also and childminders groups who would be able to offer advice.
In the meantime just use this site for inspiration and advice on doing the best you possibly can with the one wage you will have coming in.
Enjoy your family and good luck with whatever you decide to do.
Just wanted to add this link to what may be a useful thread for you to read over.http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=727241"Reaching out to touch the stars dont forget the flowers at your feet".0 -
Just read over everything again and wanted to ask you something.Put all financial considerations aside for a moment and just concentrate on a one word answer for me please.

Do you want to go back out to work?
I was wondering that too.
That is very expensive childcare! If you want to return to work I'd suggest shopping around some more.0 -
Put it this way.. there is only so much of day time TV a gal can take...
And i seem to eat more at home...
I would love to go back to my old position,,, but i would not be possible..
Its a very hands on job... working lates ect..
Think im gonna do a child minding course... or maybe a s/employed work from
home for my hubby..
Either way.. im gonna do something...or i might just wait till the babies get to about 2... then look into something more..0 -
hang on a second everyone! i am not the one being rude in looking back at the replies to my question..
what I meant was, why did you not look into the childcare and work issues when you found out you were pregnant? Then you would have had more time to find a solution.
the OP has told us now that she was ill, she didn't know she could have kids until the pregnancy and other reasons.. that is fine! I wasn't advocating abortion or saying she should have to justufy anything.. !
jeeez, I won't bother to contribute if people are gonna jump don't my throat about it.. just wanted to find out some more info before I offered any suggestions as I didn't want to presume..
I have only ever offered advice and help on this forum.
