Sorry Jo, I couldn't resist. It's just that you need more than weather works for protection on your honeymoon. ;)

Jo, I popped into that store just after I got your message. I was going to see if they'd do the same to me as they did to you  Couldn't spot a bag at all ...! but I'd definitely complain.

As someone else said, it's one thing the till saying 'no', but a totally different thing for a SA to say 'no'! Especially after it had worked on the same day! I can understand how mad you are too - one SA tried to embarrass my oh over a highlighter and I was livid. When I'd calmed down I mailed CS.

Because of that, and a SA sending me on a wild goose chase over the Sanctuary offer, they 'gave' me 1,000 points. So get complaining x

Haha - thanks for that passion! Well, I could also buy those type of things from boots although they are not my favourite place at the moment so will wait for a bit lol.

When I was walking out of the shop, the girl rang her bell on her till so I reckon she told the manager about them and they took them off the shelf!! How cheeky! It was either that or they shared them out amongst themselves but surely not or they would get into trouble.

Which way do you think I should complain?? Ring them or email them??

There is also something else I want to complain about too and I have been meaning to post this on here for a while now but kept forgetting. Well, a few months ago I bought a "boots semi permanent hair colour in rich mahogany". I didn't use it until a few weeks later when i was fed up one night and fancied a change of colour. Now, bearing in mind I have mousey brown/fair hair and it has been coloured many times in the past, I did not bother with a strand test. As I started colouring my hair, my OH came upstairs and for some reason asked if there wa any left over to do his for a laugh and there was so I did his too. We left it on for the desired amount of time and then washed it off, expecting to find our hair a dark brown with a hint of red colour - I WISH!! - Our hair went purple - and I am not exaggerating. This is going back nearly 3 months now and I have still got purple tinges in my hair. I have washed my hair nearly every day since with all different types of shampoo and have used lemon juice and alsorts of home remedies but it is still lingering. OH had to shave his head as he got a terrible mickey taking at work. I was devastated and still have the box and the bottle that I used as I was going to make a complaint but havent got round to it - has anyone else used Boots hair colours and had any good/bad experiences?

Please, if you ever take any of my advice - take this: DO NOT BUY BOOTS COLOUR SEMI-PERMANENT HAIR COLOUR IN RICH MAHOGANY.

Also, if anyone can give me any advice of how to get the last remnants out, I would be most grateful.

Hi everyone, haven't been on for a while after a traumatic house move (is there any other sort:confused: ) and no internet access and I've really, really missed everyone. But now everything is somewhat settled I can get back to some serious bootsing yeyyyyyy:j

Had my first outing for ages today and it was brill. Didn't know what all the specials/glitches are at the mo (so out of touch after a few weeks) but picked up the mag and acm vouchers and was made up to find out s&g stuff were carrying so many points so made a beeline for them. Bought a £5 shower gel and got the steamy shower set (which I was buying as a pressie anyway)and used the 200pts, 200pts acm and 75pts acm - so 25p for the shower gel and then noticed some reductions taking place at the back of the shop (Chester), went to have a nosey and they were reducing the nivea Q10 eye cream from £6.75 to £1.70, wasn't sure whether the 400 points offer was still on so bought one and got a free 5ml frizz ease serum with previous till spit and yes, there it was on my till receipt the 400 pts. Skedaddled back and picked up another 4, left a few but not many and this time went to the pharmacy to pay. The SA kept looking at them and asked if I knew how much they were full price (which I didn't at this point) so she checked and said "what a bargain".

I waited until it had gone through and had got my receipt and then said, "the real bargain is the points" and then showed her the 1600pts for the £6.80 shop which she hadn't noticed - I thought her eyes would pop out of her head, and she said "I'm so glad I served you, where did you get them from?" I told her, but said be quick, they won't be there long (secretly knowing if any mse'ers were about they'd be gone in a nano second).

I left the store on a high, it was like a real rush, how sad am I?

I popped into the other Boots by the town hall, but the eyecream was full price there, as it was in Cheshire Oaks when I checked on my way home.

I'm back bootsing, and loving it:rotfl: :rotfl:

ps didn't see any of these s&g bags everyone's talking about anywhere. Sam do you know if there are any on the Wirral/Chester/Liverpool

Personally I would just dye it again as it's been a few months since your last colour. I've started using L'Oreal Casting Creme Gloss which is a demi-permanent colour, lasts about 24 washes, covers highlights safely and leaves hair really glossy for weeks after. It does seem a bit dark until I've washed it a couple of times though, even though I use quite a light shade of brown, so I choose a shade that's lighter than the colour I want.

It's "tone on tone" so should cover your purple bits and turn them into nice lowlights.

I usually mail Jo because I find I'm a bit better with the written word. I get tongue-tied on the phone and lose concentration, but others would advise this method, or to put it in writing (snail mail). Just tell them exactly how you feel, how they made you feel, and how disheartened you feel.

I can't help about your other problem - I'm still trying to sort out the P&P problem, but good luck x

Shopping list - in no particular order ;)

    1 x S&G item - £5.00 but 400 points
1 x frizze ease thing - free with voucher
    1 x S&G bag - FREE!!
1 x Disney Hotwater Bottle Cover (large!) down from £15 (I think) to £3.75.
1 x Nivea Sunkissed Skin Moisturiser (boxed)- still £3, should be £5.99 (ish)

Simple Summer Look Body lotion down to 50p so bought 4. Not sure of the original price.

Dashed across town to Poundland to buy the Nivea Sunkissed Skin (?) bought 4 but found them for the same price in Boots. (I'll have to compare the bottles - they all sound the same but aren't - if that makes sense)

Bought a few Dr Nick items - bargain prices ranging from £4.75 ish to £6 ish - should be far more.

Bought a couple of No7 Eye Pallettes - £1 each, and No7 Highlighter (not that one - the other ;)) at £1.50 each, and various bits and bobs of make-up for £1 a time. Lovely No7 SA, nice till assistant - got a survey spit and a big smile - can't think why ;)

The last lot was paid with points :)

And welcome back pinkytots :) I was thinking of having some 'Missing' posters printed ;)
