I couldn’t get any more S&G vouchers from the ACM today, thought I had used up my allocation but tried DS brand new card and there were none for her either. I’m wondering if the offer has been taken off the ACM, I hope not. [/quote]

I printed off a couple in the market place store today so they are still on the ACM. Have they still got reduced S&G in Arnison centre and is there any left?
OH has never had any S&G vouchers on his card, only mine seems to have them

Off topic unless I say "Boots opticians" from time to time, but just to let you know if you have a problem with the glaucoma air pressure squirty test thing (note my use of the proper technical term!:rotfl:) there is another test that can be done to measure eye pressure. A few months ago I had to have an emergency optician's appt due to seeing a GP about blinding headaches (think he was worried it was a brain tumour!!) and the optician measured my pressures by putting drops in my eyes - a bit invasive but not as much of a shock as the high pressure jet of air - and then checking them. My pressures were fine, despite the GP (who looked about 22, LOL!!) saying he thought my "discs were bulging" Personal comments or what! I'm sure they could do this at Boots opticians!

    Hi Sally

Fingers crossed you get a swift referral. The NHS are pretty good when it's urgent (well from personal experience they are).

You make me feel guilty...I had my eyes tested last week (needed new specs) and I had put off going because I hate (with a venegance) the glaucoma test. Don't know why but I physically shake thinking about it....and it's not much really. My dad had glaucoma so I have to have the test. I realise now how lucky I am that my eye pressure is fine (was 18) and that I should not complain.

Thinking of you...and please keep us informed (stuff it that it's not Boots related....and if you really feel the need to keep on topic just mention Boots opticians somewhere in the post:rolleyes:)

    Take care

Hi Sally, please do keep us informed. I think it is probably rather annoying for everyone when people like me go off topic and start banging on about rats pee etc :naughty: , but this thread is like a little community and people do care, so I'm certain that everyone would want you to post as much about this as you want. I do hope you get refered very soon :grouphug:

I don't find the off topic stuff annoying at all and I think people on here are lovely!:A Totally agree with you ! The Urea discusion has really made me smile!

There was no reduced S&G in the Arnison Centre today. I'm going to keep on checking though, it was on the S&G shelf when they did have it, not on the clearance stand.

just been to the wakefield store they had quite a few things on the clearance shelf for a change :j

I got Nivea visage sensitive calming day cream £2,badger lip & body balm tangeringe breeze ( they also had lemon & ginger) £1.98, boots lip care & gloss 50p all from the clearance shelf.

also got some of the No 7 tinted moisturiser, the SEL had been altered to £4.75. asked the SA if i could use the 250 points WYP skin care coupon from the GWP and she said yes i could but the till said NO!!!! , she examined the voucher & then gave me the 'cannot be used with any other offer' speech.

On the clearance shelf they also had lots of Sanctuary Travel Foot care Kits reduced to a fiver .
They have loads of the magazines in there and the 17 lip glazes were out on display but I didnt notice if they were advertising the 3 4 2 offer
  • My shopping trips weren't very exciting today  but all good for money saving !:rotfl:

    Maidstone Fremlin Walk:

Odd bits of empty shelf space where Radox shower and Original Source stuff had been reduced to clear
Found just one Radox shower gel left priced at 38p !
Definitely missed out on some bargains there, but as there was a post about it on HUKD I was expecting it all to be gone ...............

A few bits in clearance including more 15p handwash

    Maidstone Chequers Centre:

A few S+G sets (£7.50) and Hat Boxes (£9) on stand by main tills

No reductions on any Sanctuary, S+G, Radox or Original Source and no decent clearance (Weekend Retreat Bag back on main shelf at full price)

Did find some Crayola Bath tints reduced to 99p, my kids love these :j

    Hempstead Valley:

6 hat boxes left at £9

Lots of tat in clearance, a few blonde JF glaze things reduced to £2 ish

Bought two JF 5ml serums with voucher :T

Has anyone else noticed that there seem to be tons of No7 GWP all over the place in stores ?

Lucky you got that,I was told as it was a free gift it could just be a reaction and didnt mention loads of people had complained!Told me i could take it to no.7 to send onto them but thats all!I think i might return it and try to get 7.50hthZoe

I don't see why you can't take yours in, too! And the sales staff may deny us both as we have no proof we were told we could exchange it (I thought it odd the guy didn't give me a voucher, but I'll try it his way)! Just say you were told you could exchange it (you could try for a refund if you want, but I'm going to stick with what the guy told me I could do). And, you could call back and try asking someone else.

I recently called back on the alternate customer service number (the 800 one; I used a different one before) and told them the mascara caused a reaction. The first guy hadn't taken my card number, so I knew it probably wasn't in the system that I had called and I wasn't thrilled with a 7.50 exchange when it would cost 10 for a No7 mascara (I *wanted* mascara, but didn't buy one when I was getting No7 stuff because some came with the freebie! Instead I got nail and cuticle cream -- which caused my nails to split and crack!). When I called the second time, they agreed to put 500 points on my card. So now if I can exchange the sample for 7.50, I can use money from the points to make up the difference in the cost of buying mascara. And that's if I *have* to buy No7 -- if I can exchange for anything, I'll try Loreal or something that's a tad cheaper! Or splurge and get Clinique!
  • Last week i made a order for mothers day.Ordered 3 items for 1000pts on next day delivery but arrived a few days late went to local store to return and the 2 SA on cashiers said they don't no how to do. It's a small boots but big enough to have a perfume counter/ pharmacy and the general till area.
So i posted them back and wrote to boots customer service.

Does all stores take online returns?

To keep it grabbit related yesterday:

Botanic Exfoliating bar £1.50 on shelf, till shows 99p PC £1 off Botanic bathing - FREE

There's one flaw in this plan... points cannot be combined with any other form of payment:o
