In the Feb thread I said I saved thousands by not buying a Ferrari! Well, recently I sent a cross email to TNS re screening me out of their survey after I'd got quite a way through it (I didn't mention Ferraris!) and this is what they sent me as a reply:

    MyTNS Support to me
show details 2:28 PM (24 minutes ago) Reply

    "Dear Panel member,
    Thank you for your message.
MySurvey has many different surveys. One type of survey that you will be invited to is a so-called screener. This type of survey enables us to identify a hard to find group of people amongst our panellists, for example the 'owners of a Ferrari racing car'.
As is explained in both the invitation e-mail message and in the introduction to the survey, everyone who completes a screener will automatically take part in our sweepstake.
Those who we have identified as part of fore-said group of people, in this example the owners of a Ferrari racing car, will be invited to special surveys, for which they will be credited with MySurvey Points after they completed such a follow-up survey. "

I'm emailing them back now to say why don't they just send out a query email saying 'do you own a Ferrari?'

    Hi all,

I'm getting so many great tips from you all, i dont think i'm quite ready for £10 a day but trying to do a few clicks/surveys etc every day.

Was just wondering if any1 would be able to let me know the best places to sign up for mystery shopping? I take it from reading your posts you have to log in daily to see if ur offered anything rather than them email you to offer it?

The best thing to do is do a forum search on mystery shopping, and also do a this-thread search on the same - people have listed the available shops lots of times but I wouldn't know where they are unless I did a search. There isn't a 'best' really, because it depends on where you live as to what's available. It looks to me that the world of mystery shopping is at your feet if you live in London, but here in Cornwall, it isn't!

For me, the one that pays best, and quickly, and communicates well, is Grassroots - BUT they hardly have any jobs in my area. Other people may have their own favourites. BARE international seem to pay very well but they have sent me so many confusing emails and then also phoned and contradicted the emails, that I cancelled the multi-garage assignment I had with them as I lost faith in their ability to communicate.

Gasp! I have to say I am pleased with this popping up on my 'Google Alerts'. I am the owner of said site and a big fan of these msgboards, so am more than chuffed it's been mentioned. Yes, the site is genuine (I had the idea of doing it when I started working for AQA, but it took me a bit longer to actually get round to making it - 2 years or so. Whoops) and yes, I may eventually see something along the lines of referals, but I do honestly hope it helps people. Sorry the site hasn't been updated in a month or so - real life stuff has got in the way.

I'll go back to lurking for a bit now for that exact reason.
Thanks again pandapaws. You've actually made my day.
Hi Cowtipping! Glad to have helped! To be honest, I normally ignore sites like yours (sorry, I mean that in the nicest possible way!) as they're usually a con, so I came across it through Archerfish with the usual skepticism and was very pleasantly surprised as there seems to be loads of useful info on it - you've obviously put a lot of effort into it. So, thanks very much, and good luck with the site!

Yep, he's still there, although I've just posted on my own diary that I've been having dodgy tummy pains today - somewhat reminiscent of contractions... but it hasn't come to anything so hopefully just a bit of Branston Pickle or whatever they're called! DH is very poorly with a tummy bug, so it better not happen until he's better!

I got a cheque from Royal Mail today for £17.59 as a refund for an Ebay item that was lost in post and I refunded. But after I'd put the claim in, the girl in Belgium said it had arrived (2 months late!) and she kindly re-paid me for it. Since I'm not honest enough to return the cheque, I'll count the £17.59 if nobody objects - it makes up partly for all the other items that I have lost in the post that I've never got around to claiming for!

Surveys today worth £4.20, makes today's total £21.79.
£290.42 for the month so far - need to get to target ASAP though, as there's a good chance I won't be doing much very soon!
