It slows down massively when there is a lot on the screen. Makes it impossible to move very far before they've all rained down past you. I suspect the people with the high scores have very fast PCs that don't slow down like this, so they can pick up more items in the same time period. I can pick up most of the greens and avoid most of the reds, get every email and credit card and all of the books - but I can't get more than 1600-ish :(

I also had the negative time bug. Something wierd happens just before the time runs out, and the counter keeps going past 0 to -1, -2 seconds. The game never exits, there is no "abandon game" option and no pause so the only option is to close the web page and lose the score :(

Anyway it is highly addictive and good fun - Martin often seems to say "Yess! You've just lost fifty pounds." and "Wahey! You've just lost fifty pounds" on my PC ;)

I have the slowest PC ever, so is that why I can't score more than 800?! Martin moves at a snail's pace for me, even at the start of the game!

Yes, probably. Mine is a devil's Celeron (666MHz). Very slow all the time, sometimes it's too slow to get to stuff, sometimes I can pick up almost everything but the upshot is that less stuff in total falls down to pick up during the same amount of time. But I have noticed a difference in speed depending on what other apps I have open, and the Shockwave in one browser compared to another - you may like to try closing other apps down first.

Sometimes Martin can stand there for about 20 seconds while all that falls is minus money!

    I've got a celeron too unfortunately! :o

    I've been Money Tipped!
I find that I catch all the goodies on one side of the screen and then go across to the other side and catch what there is there and go back and forth, as the centre part only seemed to chuck down mainly minus stuff. Only thing is that the heavens open and chucks a ton of stuff down. What's your score on the game Martin, I was only getting like 480 tops and I was going flat out, your RSI will be screaming after playing the game for any length of time.

I went from like 750, then I got 1250 straight after then I went down to -30. My poor hands. :-( I find that you have to keep Martin flying around in the centre of the screen, not on the ground at all, he has to be running jumping the whole time, very true to life then eh :-) Catch all the cards when they are the top of the screen, if you miss any you've had it.

If you grab the cards as high up the screen as you can so they have max time on them, and also the item that makes you run faster etc, tip or book, can't remember. Even if you are running a little low on time, the longer you are able to avoid the minus things there will always be a card come down so as long as you get the cards, you should have time to grab the plus items. Martin is running/jumping continuously in the centre of the screen to catch what he can. My biggest score so far has been 1250, but have had minus scores too. Goes from one extreme to other but not doing my RSI much good either. Too addictive a game to give up at 1250. ;-)
