can anyone please help me with formatting my hard drive

I’m in need of a bit of formatting my hard drive too. However, I don’t have a floppy drive. How would I go about it with your method TOG, or is it a whole new ball game for me? If it is don’t worry bout posting me the instructions ill just do a bit of googling.

i had as devils own job trying to suss it about a yr back thats how i sussed it as im on xp

could i have explained it any better than i did i said what buttons to pressthe only thing i didnt say was use the arrows to move between the options when changing boot up order

I've had some viruses and now I'm clean! but the comp is running so slow (dont please try and tell me how to speed it up) I've saved all my pics and vids so there isnt anything to bother about now, so all I want is to wipe the comp completely clean as if I've just bought it. Can anyone help me do it? I've the Start up disk to get me going again and thats about it. Can anyone speak English to me?

just to clear up, I didnt mean to offend anyone when I said I wasnt reading 'that' because I already read it before I said it, it was a joke at myself for not knowing what it all ment

Ive just tried foxy's method and when pressing delete nothing happend, then tried toxteth and when the black screen came up I typed format C: and nothing happened apart from it saying 'bad file name' or something to that

could just sling it down the stairs and phone the insurance, but will they believe me again lol

right if you set it up as quoted in last post if you have windows xp disk put it in the machine and restart machine should ask if you want to put in a new operating sytem (yes)
do you want to keep the old operating system (no)
do you want to delete partition (yes)
and i think at that point it asks you to press l to confirm
at that point.

im sorry if it not as exact as tog but i am not no techie i only know how i do mine from memory but this is the way i do mine
