    Hi,

Well I tried part-baking the rolls last night, then finishing them of off this morning, but didn't get the result I was looking for - they tasted like warmed up rolls, rather than fresh ones! I think I'm going to just go back to doing that in future - bake the rolls the night before, then sprinkle them with a few drops of water and warm them through in a morning...

    Thanks for the suggestions!

    Hi Candygirl,

I've got a kenwood electric carving knife and find it great, it cost about £12. As for the stodgy n cakey bread ... it sounds like too much liquid to me.

    Hi All,

I need some help please. I have found a packet of Doves Yeast in the back off my cupboard its been opened but is still within date. Can i use this? Or can i 'test it' to see if its still active?

Also, in my hurry yesterday i bought a tin of Allinson Dried Active Yeast thinking i could just chuck it in the breadmaker, thought it was quite a good price at 78p, but have just gone to use it and realised its for handbaking and needs to be reactivated, can i follow these instructions and use that water in my bread maker? (and not add sugar in the machine as it will already be in the water?

    Thanks

I make my own piza dough in the breadmaker but am put off by the amount of time it takes to clean up afterwards!!

The dough turns into thick rubbery gloop & sticks to the sponge & dishcloth.
Anybody any helpful hints apart from elbow grease!!?

Make the pizza dough by hand ;) It takes 5 mins and you only need to wipe the work surface :D

I use some dry flour to clean the dough from round the pan first then just give it a quick swoosh and is fine. Just a small spoonful does the job for me.
The bits of dough are just kneaded in with the pizza dough.
