Hi DD! Long time no...um.....type.

I think they've just arrived this evening. I'm sure I didn't have anything that looked like a carrot and a turnip earlier.

Your sig's looking good - are you on track for being mortgage free in three?

Hi IA! I've been a-ducking and a-diving and a-hiding (troll issue, but about to be resolved hopefully by the mighty Abuse team).

Snags - My challenge is going OK but I won't be able to pay the whole mortgage off in the next 2 years - Mrs Dither had to give up her job to take care of our little one (she has a chromosomal disorder) and so we've only got one wage coming in now.

I'm really glad I started paying off the mortgage though, it made it an stress free decision for Mrs D to give up work.

How are you guys getting on? (by the way, as I don't have as many medals as you two, do I have to salute you and go "Ma'am, yes Ma'am" every time I post a message?)

Ma'am will do nicely thanks......you could curtsey too if you really want to get on our good side. :p;)

I'm so glad you were in a position to make a decision like that for the good of your daughter. I've just done a similar thing for Ryan (have cut my hours right down so I wont have the problem of finding childcare for him, as he was recently diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome), and I think it will make a lot of difference to family life. I hope you find the same.

You should have called us lot when you had the troll issue, we're experts at dealing with them... :rotfl:

We were initially told that our Lu had Dyspraxia, but the new doc reckons it's a Chromo issue - she had a piece of skin removed for genetic testing (you can imagine how chuffed she was about that!) but the doc is 90% sure.

I did my usual thing when faced with trolls - started crying and running all over MSE trying to escape!

    Ma'am.

I don't really know anything about chromosomal disorders, sorry :o but I really hope they get to the bottom of it quickly, and the tests aren't too upsetting for her/you. And I hope you get the outcome you are hoping for from the tests too. It's horrible when you are waiting and waiting for a diagnosis.

I'm not sure if we'll be any the wiser when she is diagnosed, but it'll make it easier for us to get support for her at school. She's coming on a treat though cos of Mrs D's efforts. I just wish i could have a peek into the future to see just how she gets on when she's an adult. I'll end up worrying about her for years and she'll probably win a nobel prize or something :)

    Kids eh.
