Immoral Angel's Debt Diary - Part 16,342...

  • Today is turning into a good day... in the space of 5 minutes I had 2 SEPERATE calls for job interviews.. one at a pub in Cannock which I'm going for an 'informal chat' tomorrow around 3ish.. (they even said I could take the girls if I couldn't find anyone to have them, the guy was really nice..) which I'm definately going to and also Argos direct :D. There's a big problem with the argos direct one though. The next stage is an assessment which is monday at 4.30... (can't do because no childcare..) and then if that was successful I would start on the 25th March with 3 weeks training 3pm-8pm monday to friday which I also can't do! :wall:
    TYPICAL.

Edit and also the training would interfere with me doing my CAB which I'd start on the 31st!

How much do you want the Argos job? Would it be your first choice over the other jobs you have applied for or aren't you that bothered? If you really want the job, then I'm sure the CAB will wait - you are a volunteer with them after all.

Is the problem with doing the Argos training because of childcare? Could you ask the nursery if the girls could do a few extra hours just while you are doing the training? I know the nursery Natasha is going to go to will do this if they have the space available.

Could Ste finish early on Monday?

  • Have just sent off my details online for the ann summers rep... apparently someone will be in touch... lol!

I applied on-line Tuesday and today I got a welcome letter from them, with an account number, one copy of current brochure and in the letter it said my area sales manager will be in contact shortly.

Edit, read that wrong thought you said AVON.:o

I just want something that's going to fit in around the girls. Ste starts his new job on monday and can't get the time off as someone else is going to be on holiday at the end of march and he's being trained up to cover them.
Plus the CAB is the whole reason I'm after a job anyway! lol

It sounds like the pub one would be the least complicated if you're not that bothered either way? Do you know if they are offering enough hours to take you over the 16 hours per week barrier?

No idea.. will find out tomorrow I guess! 16 hours would be something like 3 evenings 7-1 so not too bad.. will see what happens though.. and I've always got my argos job to fall back on.

fingers crossed here too, i would go with the pub one personally i think, ask if there are 16 hours going. even if its 2 evenings and one weekend it would be worth giving up argos?
  • I didn't go to bodytone on tuesday... was feeling really down in the dumps about the whole job thing... but tonight I'm going to try a class called body combat.. which is basically 'a pre choreographed session based on martial arts moves' and it sounds really fun! Looking forward to it.. I'm also making home made enchiladas tonight :D mmmm....
Must do some exercise! I've been comfort eating too much and not doing any exercise!!!
