As a mere man, I couldn't be bothered with contacts.
That said women look more "natural" and to me attractive with contacts, as long as they don't make a drama over every little bit of grit in their eyes.
The illusion does not work both ways round.
Yes you can take your prescription elsewhere, and save a quid or twenty.

Speak with your optician and get a free trial of both dailies and monthlies. I can't wear monthlies due to the protein build up and dry eye i suffer from.
You may have to sign a disclaimer to have a copy of your prescription to cover them if you have any issues from wearing lenses that they haven't provided but thats seems to be standard practise. (i'm with Visionexpress at the mo)
I get my lenses from visiondirect or get lenses via quidco. I am just about to restock using a combination of vouchers and cashback its worked out at 12 a month for daily disposables. I can get for less but i've been hit for customs charges from abroad a few times.
edited to add you look fantastic and even better in contacts.total debt at lightbulb 18th April 2007:idea: £42367.60:eek: DFW Nerd No 725. DFW longhauler no 8. Official DMP mutal support club member no 62.0

Specsavers would probably give you a pair to try out for free (contacts, I mean)... I have Specsavers lenses, extra moisture ones - £10 a month and I get 50% off glasses and free aftercare. Never had a problem with them. They do recommend you have a spare pair of glasses too, of course (mine were £40 and they're ace). x0

I think most places give you a free trial these days. With soft ones, you don't get the grit in the eye very much, I can't remember the last time it happened to me.
I remember being in BHS inthe 80s wearing gas permeable hard ones and trying on some sunglasses and getting dust in both eyes at the same time. You can't rub as the hard ones fall out really easily. It was horribly painful until the dust got washed out "Stay Wonky":D "Stay Wonky":D

IA I think that you look better without glasses as the frames are hiding your pretty eyes. Also, after not wearing glasses for a while your face changes somehow and your eyes have more definition. Having said that your glasses do suit you.The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0

            Hmm, difficult one.
Given the choice I'd stick with specs, but then I've had contacts for, er, gawd, must be almost 30 years now. Specs aren't an option for my eyes (I've got keratachonis? - had it almost all my life & still can't spell it) so the NHS has paid for my lenses since my early teens. The option of being able to fall out of bed & just stick specs on instead of having to be awake enough to deal with both soft & gp lens (2 eyes, 3 lenses, don't ask...) sounds so good. Never mind being able to stand outside on a windy day without the worry of getting gritty eyes.
OTOH, I suppose 30 years of specs might make lenses appeal more so it can't hurt to try them.
As for the look of it, I like the specs.0
