I find it a bit of a struggle fitting in OS sometimes, but at the same time when I do it makes life simpler...
I'm a full-time uni student studying social work & am on a full-time unpaid 6 month work placement (till end of May) with the fostering team - which I absolutely loveSo I still also work part-time but luckily from home, audio-typing for the company I was with before Uni. And single parent to 3 teenage/nearly teenage daughters - or is that a swarm of locusts... And agony aunt/problem solver for all family & friends.....
The girls are all getting into MSE & OS as well, and love baking - shame they don't like the tidying up so much. But we do meal plan (although we often fall off the wagon), and they like to do that, and cook as well.
Have dug the breadmaker (bought then hardly used...) out again & getting the hang of it (ie best times to start things off etc).
Had a new kitchen fitted a couple of weeks ago (not OS I know!) so sorted out the "cupboard under the sink" - been using soda crystals & vinegar since
Roll on the summer holidays though, when I will have time/energy to really get sorted out, pre-plan, get some routines sorted, etc... In the meantime it's just baby steps...Live your life until love is found, or love's gonna get you down" (credit to Mika!)0 -
I work for an anglican church - which is far more fun than it may sound, and very flexible!! I love my job - we spend a lot of time being very very silly. the church is right in the centre of a high street which has a great selection of small, privately owned shops so getting fresh meat, veg and local cheeses is very easy - which hugely helps with OS. It's lovely going to the same shops - you get to know the staff individually and can have a really gossipy shop! I'm also involved in a church charity called the Mothers' Union - very OS organisation in many ways. I count my blessings!0

I work with visally impaired adults with learning disabilities - which means working long shifts but I get every other weekend off and 2 days off in the week so I use those days to catch up on my baking, meal planning, cleaning , ironing etc! I also try and fit soem relaxation time in too!:D I'm a great fan of lists which are great for making sure the important things get done!Do what you love :happyhear0
