  • I want a sign like that too leoetal19!

Becoming a parent is what sparked my interested in OS ways, it brought back all my happy childhood memories - baking and cooking with my mum, needlecraft with my nan, gardening with my grandad and fixing or making things with my dad. I want that for my little girl too.

I do work parttime as a nurse, but that is just my sideline and now I'm mostly a stay at home mum I find the OS ways actually give me and my daughter lots to fill our days with together.

I work in school admin, I take in lodgers & I work on a sex chat like.
I plan a months meals in advance, buy in everything I need & on Sundays I cook or part cook the meals for the week ahead.

I once put in a forum profile (not this one!) that I am an exotic dancer. It's not true of course, as anyone who knows me could probably work out.

I work for 2 days a week at a 6th form college as a study support tutor.

I'm also in the rather slow process of starting to work for myself at home. I have qualifications in massage, sports massage, Indian Head massage, Biosculpture nail enhancements, manicure, pedicure, waxing, eyebrow and eyelash treatments. I haven't got my room sorted out yet, but have a few acquaintances who are on my client list.

It's not a great money maker at the moment. It won't be for a while, as I have done the courses and quals for some of the above, but need to do some practice to become proficient and get up my speed. I'm not normally lacking in people who want either reduced price or free treatments. I don't give much away, but am generous in the time and treatment when people do come. I'm sure that providing a good cup of coffee and a relaxed environment pays dividends.

  • HI

Interesting reading Hester, never knew you did that. :D

I'm a part-time nurse on a very busy ward and sometimes don't know whether i'm coming or going. Am also studying part-time for my nursing degree, which I've had no time off to do. Also Mum to one Son, Step-Mum to a 24 year-old and married. OH is also a nurse so life sometimes gets really complicated. I like my SC a lot and find the only way to cope with life is to plan and organise everything.

Used to be a librarian (still LOVE reading, though).
  • I'm a SAHM, DD is at school and i'm pregnant with no.2 so i have time on my hands during the day to be o/s. However i have Fibromyalgia and this affects my routines etc as i never know how i'm going to feel.

I batch cook whenever i can, always make double of things like bolognese/chilli/curry etc so i can freeze portions for another day. My slowcooker is great, i make a big batch of soup on a monday and fridge/freeze it for dinners during the week. I try to keep on top of the housework, i have everyday tasks like washing up, general tidy, quick wipe of bathroom and kitchen and keeping on top of the washing and i do one room throughly each day - doesn't always go to plan though!

I'm trying to get organised so i can keep on top of things when baby arrives but tbh those first weeks are so precious, so what if the house falls apart around us - i'll be nursing my bubba lol

    Take care

I am an administrator for a national refrigeration company. I get to boss men about and tell them what to do :D

I have let things go lately - bad me :o but I usually plan every meal each week and work out what i need to buy at the start of the week. I try and stretch the meals out so we can get another portion out of what i make. There is only two of us (me and OH) but things are tight at the moment as we moved house in october and still trying to re-jigg our finances.

My OH works in IT and he is thinking about some extra work we can do from home using his IT knowledge.

hmm.... that makes me think of my late MIL who used to say: "only dull women have clean houses". She took that to the extreme, too!
