  • hi i have spoken to woolies and this is the final week of dispatch - all the phone orders will be delivered by the end of this week or the beginning of next

    I hope so!

Still not heard anything from them since my order was first placed (which seems like an age ago!)

Whilst I can understand the concern perhaps it might be time to take stock of the situation, for example it would be commercially more harmfull for Woolies to honour this deal for some and not others who fall within the same criteria than to cancel all orders, having started to despatch these items to all orders for either one or two phones Woolworths have committed themselves, having said that the demand must have far outstripped the original stock levels, after all they had intended to sell these items far in excess of the offer price, {it quite clearly was a pricing error} and would have stocked or retained stock accordingly, so therefore it was inevitable that some would have to wait, fortunately for me I am not one of those but for those of you still waiting I think you can sit back with the comfort that these items will most certainly be despatched its not like Woolies credit has run out with the suppliers or anything but orders have obviously been needed to be placed and fulfilled with suppliers and all the other logistical bag and baggage dealt with in order to supply it won't help if you bombard them with comunications and can only serve to complicate matters with cross checking being done on the same order time and time again, don't forget these are combined packages and not produced in the same quantities that a normal phone package is so there may be complications there also.

That's enough from me apart from I think once received you will agree they were worth the wait even if it was a long one.

I agree with everything you say however they are doing there business no good by misleading their customers. If someone from Woolies said to me that it would be atleast 4 weeks before we receive the goods then fair enough. But eacvh time I have spoken or communicated with them I get a different response.

Also telling people that its "with fulfillment" is just !!!!!! management speak and means nothing to the lay person. I'm more than happy to wait but get frustrated with businesses that put out poor and unneccesary misleading communication.

  • Yay, the status has changed in my account. It now reads 'ready for despatch'.

Went to Woolworth today and they were selling the phone with the stereo for £99. Can anyone unlock their Sagem? If so can you let us know how to do it. The phone is brill but it would be good if I could use my sim card on it. ;D :P
No reliance should be placed on the above.
