Changeing your number is the best way, as it forces them to write, but i think you said you couldnt for some reason, if i remember correctly.
Hi,
Re the changing of the numbers,is this true that you couldnt for some reason,or am I reading this wrong? reason being I changed my house number before I started my DMP and also took off contact numbers from various accounts on websites....would this look bad if anyone decided to take to me to court?0 -
Shame not everyone that we have helped tell us how they have got on .0

Hi Jaybag
Re' the numbers I think Blind as a Bat was refering specifically to me as I'd said previously I didn't want to change a number I've had so long.แล้วไงต่อ0 -

Being an idiot..
I have only JUST found out.. that two of my creditors.. are the same debt..:T
Morgan Stanley which switched to Barclaycard Cash Back card. (the account numbers are different now too, I just confirmed everything on the phone with BBcard)
Anyway... I have sent a CCA request to Morgan Stanley.. (before I realised it was now BBC cash back card)
What will happen? .. not that it matters much I suppose.Very proud of trying to deal with my debts. LBM 04/09

Hello again!
If it is anything like my Morgan Stanley card then it will be totally unenforceable. They will probably send you the application form and a copy of the current t's and c's, thats if they can find anything at all.
Since MS were operating in the UK, the business has passed to Goldfish and now Barclaycard. We all know how bad creditors are at keeping documents safe so............
My account defaulted just after Goldfish took it over, so I never had dealings with Barclaycard. (Although I also have another Barclaycard account, but they have accepted my DMP from the beginning so I haven't sent them a CCA request(yet;))). Anyway, Goldfish sold it onto one DCA and then another, 1st Credit Ltd!:mad::mad: After over a year of battling them, they have now accepted the DMP, but insist the CCA is enforceable and that I have to pay. They did offer a full and final of 75% though! Yeah right!!!
P.S. I thought I told you that you weren't an idiot?!?!?!?!?!?!?!;)

Hi Stapeley,
I for one appreciate all the help from the usual suspects and.
I'll feed back everything I get - the good, the bad and the ugly.
I'm about to finally own up and add a signature that will show the full extent of my own horror story and I'll add detail as and when anything changes.
Thanksแล้วไงต่อ0 -
Hi All,
Not been on this thread for a while - nothing from the DCA's which made a pleasant change but nice to see the same faces on this forum are still here.
So just an update.
Got a letter from Mercantile Data Bureau a couple of weeks back saying Hillesdon (dlc) have passed the details on to them. I had not sent a CCA request to dlc but I did send them a "Prove it" letter in January and heard nothing since... until this.
I have now requested a CCA (21st May) using the address on the letter (freepost one so saved me a few pence and the DCA pays) and find that Royal mail tell me this the letter had to be re-directed which is why it took longer to deliver. Anyway they got it 26th May so the clock is ticking.
I have heard the MDB is actually dlc but doesnt really matter if they default on the CCA request then they won't even be able to pass it back to themselves will they!
Will keep you up to date if I hear anything.0 -

to be fair stapeley, if it gets to court, it is prudent not to post too much just in case the thread is being watched, even if you win, you dont want to give ammo for a set aside now do we;)
One of my threads on cag is being watched by littlewoods at the moment:p:rolleyes:Thats it, i am done, Blind-as-a-Bat has left the forum, for good this time, there is no way I can recover this account, as the password was random, and not recorded, and the email used no longer exits, nor can be recovered to recover the account, goodbye all ………….0
