So DLC have written to me saying their clients are themselves? (i.e. Hillesdon Securities).

Thats makes no sense to me.

You are expecting sense from dca? There is quite a complicated set-up with this group ( I work for the un-related part of the same Group, hope nobody sells one of my debts to them ....could be highly embarrassing, especially with my views and tactics against dca's )

I'll scroll back through the thread to find your OP

edit; Ask them for proof of the Original Debt, they tend to get hold of loads of ancient small debts and go 'fishing'

    Simon,

You could always try the guys over on the consumer action group forum. I have been told that these are frequented by law students who know a thing or two.

Try this thread for starters (I have not look at it myself since I have not been in your situation.... yet)

Good luck and keep us posted.

    You can start by talking with National Debtline - 0808 808 4000, or CCCS - 0800 138 1111.
I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

The debate on whether to carry on paying them while you wait for CCA is different dependant on who you talk to. I stopped as soon as I sent for CCA request but that was me. Others have said continue until they cannot (if) provide a valid CCA.

When I asked about stopping paying when no CCA received, I was told on Consumer Action Group that by carrying on paying, I gave the DCA/OC no incentive to find one
But, as I am in a DMP with CCCS and trying to pluck up courage to go it alone, I am waiting until the other creditors I have CCAed are out of the 12+2 time limit which expires next week.

So far, I have stopped paying one DCA but CCCS refused to remove any others...no idea why they agreed to remove RobSway

So, I still have 1 DCA way out of time, one OC out of time and 3 more to get back to me.

That leaves 3 more OCs to CCA. But, TBH, they have not bothered me at all since I entered the DMP 2 yrs ago.

Sent DLC a "Prove it" letter today by Reg Post.

Is that included on this "CCA Updates" thread?

    My Story so far....

Lowell CCA Request for Egg Loan - No CCA
Lowell HSBC Bank Overdraft - No reponse for 4 weeks since my formal complaint.
DLC - .....? The next chapter!

    Hi all,

I sent the CCA request to Rockwell/Tessera recorded delivery. It was signed for on the 6th November. I didn't hear anything back and 12+2 expired on the 25th November. I've sent the "in dispute" template and 4 days ago we received the below letter from Rockwell:

"Thank you for your response to our recent letter. We note your comments and have sought further information from our client. We will contact you again shortly."

The December payment to Rockwell would normally have been paid at the end of November but we have ceased payments while it is in dispute. (We've been making payments for 2 and a half years - long story).

We've translated the letter above into:

"Erm, well, erm, er, we'll need to do something cos they ain't paying us." :D

Please continue to hold the line. Your call is very important to us and will be answered by next available robot...
