Sorry... I only confirmed the flight details. Moreover, they called me to ask if my name was KRITI or KIRTI. I was not the one who called. They called me to ask if my name was KRITI or KIRTI. Now, why would they do that? They did it only after taking payment from my card.
Plus, if the fee was £50 or somewhere around that... I would have no problem paying it. But £185 just for a name change is way out of my league.0 -
I would have just gone along with the spelling error, I suspect it would have gone unnoticed.
I've had a worse errors than that go through when work have booked me flights in the past0 -

Thanks for the reply...OK! GOOD NEWS! Here's what has happened.
I called Southall Travel Agency and asked them to change it, but I am not paying anything above £50. They put me on hold for 10 min... and came back with this reply:
"I've contacted the airline company and after tense negotiations, we can offer you £95". I said NO to that offer as well and then I was told to contact Airline Directly.
I called Jet Airways and told them the whole story. They did say that I should have been more careful before confirming, but they were surprised at the airline giving the offer of £95. Airline said that we never do these things and in our system, it's not showing anything as such. He then told me that he's putting these comments on my ticket, so that anyone can see it later on (Jet Airways Officials).
After few hours, I got an email from Southall Travels that kindly provide us with passport copy and will change your name problem....... & THEY DID!!!! :A0 -
I'm so pleased for you - it's awful when things like that happen. they obviously knew they'd got your name wrong and that's why they rang you to verify the spelling. Well done for sticking to your guns0
