Bulldog (merged)

I have had such issues with my service provider signed up in november to get "english breed of animal" broadband ,
We went with the 30.00 packacge phone line and 16 mb broadband.

After hassles about who was installing the line and me taking time of work to actulaly allow egineer access and them not turning up etc.
They installed broadband. we were awaiting a router of them so we could access said broadband ,
I refused to pay the first months paymet as i was not paying for something we didnt have ,.eventually after being able to access via old sky router i made payment of £156.00 on 24th january this was 99.01 for installation of line and broad band fees since november to jan.
They told me i would recieve my 99.01 back at the 3rd month,

That would be febs bill

they eventualy monday sent me out the router and i realised i was not getting the speed i was told i ws going to get hence choosing this provider.

They finally after telling me it was my computer, my line,my something or other realised they had made a mistake and an hour later 16mb broadband was recived.

They sent me an email for bill alert on the 5th feb for new bill of 46.50 today they send me a letter telling me they are cutting my service due to this outstanding amount ..

2 days to decide an outstanding amount,

I rang them and they told me that i owed them £20 pound of my last bill and should have been 176 but i spoke to them and made payment by card and that was the amount i was told i owed as they had credited my account with £20 for hassles with line installation.

so i then get told that i have to pay 46 or get my services cut .
after arguing with the gentleman it turns out they in fact owe me 99.00 and thus my account is in credit and they assure me they will not cut off my services but cant guarentte that it will not happen but if it does they should reinstate it .,

I am shocked and appalled at the level of service i have recieved

Bulldog always had a bad reputation for service and support, since it was bought out things have gotten no better and people are still being messed about and lied to.

Around August last year we received a letter from Bulldog formally terminating our contract and giving us a months notice, in line with our contract. The letter stated that this was because they were moving from the residential ISP market and focussing on wholesale market instead.

"Fair enough", we thought, and got on with finding an alternative ISP and when we had sorted that we rang Bulldog and requested the MAC.

"Can I ask why you're leaving us?", they asked, and appeared a little surprised when I told them that my account had been terminated. Anyway, I didn't think too much of it as they have always been a shower of dung when it came to their customer service.

We duly wrote to Bulldog to formally terminate the agreement and switched to the new ISP.

A while later I received an invoice for around £150 for outstanding broadband fees, covering the period after the contract had been cancelled.

We wrote to them and pointed out that they were mistaken and did not get a reply, but assumed that everything was ok.

Today I have received a letter from Moorcroft demanding the outstanding amount owed Bulldog and threatening legal action.

Arghhh! How can they be so incompetent, they haven't even sent me a letter or anything in the meantime.

I am hoping I still have copies of the correspondence in my Hotmail account, but unfortunately I can't access my email right now for some reason.

Has anyone else had a similar experience with Bulldog and if so did you get a decent resolution?

ha ha they are so inept that I have just been able to log on to the Bulldog customer website, retrieve my final bill (which incidentally shows that they owe me £16.59!).

That should be plenty to satisfy Moorcroft that there is no debt and has just inspired me to write to Bulldung and request my £16.59 back!!
