I wish to book a holiday
Dep: Newcastle
Arr: Dalaman
Dates 14 April - 21 April 08

Looking for 2 rooms or 2 bedroom apartment, must be at least Half Board.
2 adults and 1 adult& 1 child (age 6).

Current price is Club Nergis Beach - this has mixed reviews on trip adviser - any MSE comments welcome?

I am looking for a child & family friendly place, near the beach and shops. Any suggestions on resorts welcome.

To be honest, I wouldn't touch an AI with those sort of reviews. If moneys the clincher go to a clean & simple SC or B&B

yeah shame about the reviews as the hotel looked good. I would welcome if anyone has any recommendations in the area?

I think the three hotels shes mentioned are in Marmaris.

Last two are in Marmaris
First one in Kalkan.

Kalkan & Marmaris are VERY different.

Marmaris is very big & brash
Kalkan is much smaller, quieter & understated & middled aged.

What you looking for in Turkey & whats your budget?

Eww Marmaris is skegness in the sun been there once never again.

Have you looked at a place called Dalyan, 20 mins drive from dalaman airport, gorgeous place i love it we try and get there every year , we stayed here one year http://www.metinhotel.com/English/Aboutus.htm

and here another http://www.cluballaturca.com/english/index.php?departman=hotel this one was more expensive so we chose the metin, which i prefered as it was more within the town area.

was looking at Google earth and realised Dalaman is a bit away from the other places.

We are a family of 2 dults (60+) and me and my 6r old son. Looking for a nice family orientated resort, with the usual shops, restuarants, kids play areas etc. Prefer near or on the beach location.

Turkey is big, it has loads of resorts like that.

Can you say how big a resort you like?

Do you want huge like Magaluf or smaller like Maila or smaller still like "somewhere small"?

Budget?

Board prefered?

Marti La Perla is in Icmeler,right on the sea front and only a short dolmus /water taxi ride to Marmaris.Had a look around when we were in Icmeler and its really nice and had a chat to a few people who were staying there and they couldnt fault it.
