I know you wish to have half board, I went to Turkey last year, flew from Newcastle and stayed in a 4 bedroom apartment, which was reasonably priced, and could not of asked for a better location. The apartment was fabulous and the pool was kept very clean, it is situated about a 5 minute walk from the main street of shops, and there is an AZDA nearby. And it is cheap enough to eat out. To get to the beach is a cheap ride on the dolmus.
There is only 4 apartment in the block, and you have your own sunbeds per apartment, so there is no getting up early to put your towels out! If I was to go back to Turkey I would go there no problem it was great. Gordon and Jean who own the apartment were very friendly and helpful, and were very prompt in giving back our deposit! Absolutely beautiful place, please check it out! We also organised our own transfers, which I was a bit dubious about doing, but everything went fine. I cant remember the name of the company at the minute though!

From your experience what do you think sounds the best of the 2?

My agent (Gloebtravel ) who i have booked holidays before with is now giving me the Marmaris Palace incl flights, transfers AI for £1250 - after i haggled some discount. But this hotel has mixed reviews and built on a promenade not a beach - although we like walking on beaches were not a sunbathing family.

I really wanted the Marti La Perla, as it seemed to have above average reviews on Trip Advisor.

They are both on all inclusive basis and if it was myself going i would opt for the Marti La Perla based on better reviews and feedback i was given while in Icmeler but its your holiday and only you can decide what is best for your family.

Thanks again for the reply and advice. yes its my holiday, but no harm in getting valuable advice from this forum with experienced travellers like yourself.

Do you think £1250 for 4 people AI is a good deal at the Maramis Palace?

Yes its a good deal especially if transfers are included.

yes agent is including flights, inflight meals, transfers, and sea views rooms at Maramis palace.

She just phone (!) but i have asked her to look again at Marti la Perla which she thinks is a step down from 5* to 4*!
