Just chased up my points for Hotel Chocolate saying a colleague had been issued points without purchase and this was the response I got....

I cannot comment on another member's account or credits with you.
Instead I am advising on what we were offering the PiggyPoints for. When you clicked through to Hotel Chocolat, the option to join their chocolate club was there.

Members needed to complete a sign up to this, to be eligible for the PiggyPoints. Our affiliate will not report on a newsletter sign up, and we cannot issue PiggyPoints for this.
We didn't explicitly say on our own website that a sign up to the chocolate club required a purchase, but once their website was accessed this was clear as an option.

If you have any further queries, please don't hesitate to let us know.

    Kind Regards,

    Rachel

    Anyone else had any luck?

I know I chance being incredibly unpopular saying this, but when Hotel Chocolat was first showing this offer I went to sign up with it, but as soon as I reached the Hotel Chocolat site I thought it was obvious the Pigsback offer related to making a purchase (as I seem to remember, it directly took you through to something you could sign up for with Hotel Chocolat that cost somewhere around the £19 mark - can't remember exactly what now)

I had a quick look at their T&C's the other day and they appeared to cover themselves in pretty much every case (imo)

Their were no terms and conditions when i signed up about 8 weeks ago to it.

In the last 4 days they have changed hotel chocolat to this

Did they ask for the initial email confirming you had signed up? I have a screenshot showing i have two titles at home but nothing showing the date I signed up. I assume they can trace the email address? I've sent a query to pigsback today to get it started do just need to wait and see. I better get the points cause its the only reason i took the trial!!

They did ask for the initial email which I had fortunately. Maybe if you send them a screen shot of the page of all your rented DVDs then it will show the first title you rented and the date. They should be able to trace the email but they did come back to me and said I wasn't on the file of people who had joined through Pigsback. I just kept on at them and said I had definitely joined up through pigsback in order that I can get piggypoints.

    Hope that helps a bit.

I normally take screen shots of the whole procedure and even the T&C of pigsback and the refering site.

Although I take some that I do not sign up to I do not do them all, can I suggest we all start taking screen shots of every stage on any offer and between us we should end up with any proof we need on every offer.

But all this would not be required if we trusted pigsback to get most things right.

I know I'm going to be unpopular with a lot of you in here but I feel I need to say my bit now as I'm sick of people complaining about not getting points they're not really entitled to. Yes if you use certain connotations of the language we could claim for the hotel chocolat points but whats the point? Haven't you noticed the number of clickthroughs and genuine free points has dropped dramatically since people started jumping on every single error of grammar they make? I have, and yes, I have been lucky and won 2 of the quizzes over the last few weeks but I'm still sick of seeing people complaining about not getting free points then also complaining when they don't get points that they're not really entitled to! You have to remember that pigsback is a BUSINESS, it has to make a profit at the end of the day, yes, it's great when we get loads of free stuff but when all they get is complaints....is it any wonder they dry up and they raise the cost of the rewards we receive?

I love pigsback and I really appreciate this thread and everyone that contributes to it so can we stop trying to get what we're not entitled to and go back to enjoying it and hope that given a little time, it might recover and return to what it once was for us all?
