    Evening everyone
Birthday Greetings Mr Pink, however do you put up with a SIL like HJ?
Just had some neighbours over for informal dinner and natter. I was making a cottage pie, and knew there was too much for just us two and in use up mode ready for return this weekend. She has just had surgery to insert 5 stunts(shunts) in her heart, and was going stir crazy seeing her own 4 walls. Very enjoyable. Had quite a good OS day, got two loads of washing washed and dried. Just have an ironing mountain now! but tomorrow is another day.
Smokybabe - hope you enjoyed what you could of your birthday, I am sure your kids will have wanted to do something with you for it. Any more news on DH?
Glad to hear your decision redruby make sure any future decisions are the best for you and DD long term. ((Hugs))
Off to bed in a mo - almost midnight here. DG

    Hi guys,

Thank you for all the birthday wishes and your prayers.

Today has been a very bittersweet day and I have spent most of it in tears at the kindnesses of others.

The guys at work rang to see if I was in so they could drop off a birthday card, along with it was a collection made amongst them of £60. Also my wage slip with full pay - the deputy had deducted the 4 days I still owed them off this wage - It seems that the Manager has deferred that for now. I have had that many phone calls from friends and family and the children have been really good, wanting me to have a happy birthday and doing cards and pictures for me.

OH slipped back again this afternoon and is back to being nursed on his belly. They have deepend his sedation and re-paralyzed him. Again they could not get enough oxygeon in to his system but over the last few hours his condition is settling, his co2 levels are dropping to somewhere near normal and his o2 requirements are down to 85%.

It can't have been as bad as Thursday as I did not get the 'can you come over' phonecall allthough it is scary being here and just getting news through the phone. As I understand from the hospital each case of ards is different and they can not predict which course anyone will follow, however it has been described as a roller coaster ride with good days and bad days and that is about as accurate a description as there is for how we are feeling. I am only glad that he has little or no awareness of what is going on.

I hope you are all well.

    Smoky.

    Hi smoky,

I haven't had time to post today but just had to come on and give you a virtual hug :grouphug: Sorry it's not better news, but like you said, the hospital don't seem as worried as they were last week, so hopefully a good sign that they didn't need to phone you? Glad work are being understanding about it as well.

Oh... and happy birthday! I know it probably doesn't feel like it matters much at the moment, but even so ;)
