I may have one; if you get a ticket and pay on exit, simply get a ticket on your way out. You will either be charged the lowest tier of charges or get it free if your car park has a "drop-off" thing. If anyone can confirm this....0

it wouldnt work, even though you may have to press a button to produce a ticket, the entrance will have ground sensors to ensure there is a vehicle present, and not kids reeling tickets off, or people trying to scam the car park out of their fees:A R.I.P. Also, it's fraud, so you could be in big trouble if spotted doing so.0

haha - nice one! :rotfl:
some councils have a parking permit scheme. So you buy a permit for certain car parks per month or quarter.. ring up your local council and see if they have a similar thing?BSC Member 155

This would not be worth even trying as most (if not all ) car parks have CCTV so they would know who did it.A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.
Nothing tastes as good as being slim feels.

If it's pay and display, just check what the fine is and see if it's worth the risk of not paying.
It used to be 50p an hour here, with a £10 fine for not having a ticket, so you didn't have to be parked for long or very frequently to make your money back - a fine every now and then could well have been cheaper than paying for parking. Now it's 30p an hour and £40 fine, so the risk/reward ratio isn't quite so compelling.0 -
Park in a cheaper car park if you don't like the cost? Run back to the car? What other tips can there be?0

I always think he looks like Tony Blair
I don't know, but, it might not be weight of the car which triggers the gate to open and the ticket to be issued on the way in. it might be the EMF field interferance in the inductive loop, in which case non-chalantly walking into the car park through the vehicle entrance with some [SIZE=-1]Neodymium magnets in your pockets/shoes might result in a ticket being issued, which you could grab as you walk by.
