  • check out ebay. I sell loads of chilli seeds like Charleston Hot and the wonderful Pimento de Padron. Not sure I'm supposed to tell you my site but look for these and you may find me
  • yes you can grown them outside. but they do better in a greenhouse. For real pretty chillies with a bite try explosive ember or peach habanero both available on ebay

  • check out ebay for great chilli seeds. they are really easy to grow and make great prolific plants. There are some great plants available.

Charleston Hot are small and bushy plants with loads of upright chillies.
Explosive ember are small bushy plants with tiny chillies.
Thai Long can be green or red and have wonderful thai flavour
Aci Lemon are fantastic. Really Lemony.
Peach Habanaro are lovely peach colour and shaped like scotch bonnets

They are all on ebay and loads more. Some people are offering BOGOF Buy one get one Free.
  • I put a few seeds from a chilli in a pot and all of them have started shooting:j
As I don't have a greenhouse will it be ok to keep them in my shed over winter?
Maybe, just once, someone will call me 'Sir' without adding, 'You're making a scene.'

    A windowsill would be better

If you're looking for advice and tips on growing chillies, a good place to start is: http://www.chilli-willy.com

The site is based around the rudest pepper of all time but also contains valuable growing information from sowing to harvesting chillies.

Much more rewarding to save your own seed. Remove seeds from a fresh chilli, dry for a few days on kitchen paper then plant them. They will take 10 - 14 days to germinate in damp compost on a warm kitchen windowsill. Don't move them outside until June as any cold weather will inhibit their growth.

Ive tried it this way..will let you know what happens. Ive put them in a tin for now with some compost - pretty much experimenting cos I saw Jamie Oliver do this on his tv show.

Nothings grown so far. do you have to water them?
    Scrimping and saving!
