Right booked the weekend away but in the end went with The Fairfield as they were going to take a deposit rather than ALL the money - which helps with the diy outlay. But didn't go for the penthouse suite. Went for one of the luxury ones with a 2 person spa bath and 2 person shower. Ordered us some champers, chocs and rose petals for the bed as well. Yey.
I'm all excited now...just got to remember not to tell DH! :rotfl:Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

The weekend away sounds lovely - I've just seen ebay saying there's a 10-day free listing window from Sat 22 Aug to Mon 31 Aug, so you've an opportunity to list all those bits you'd sorted out!Mortgage Free thanks to ill-health retirement0

Wow your break sounds fab, the last holiday surprise I got for my OH, I let it slip at a dinner party to a neighbour, and the room went silent just at that point, (he was there and heard) and I burst into tears! I'm sure you are brighter than me!15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j

Oh no...that is something I'd do. But I've kept it pretty quiet so far. Only one of my friends and people on here know. I'm bursting to tell him though. Just got to make sure he doesn't actually organise anything for himself now. ha ha.

Shops went pretty well actually, nothing too challenging and I got myself lots of petrol!
Nothing today though :j but I have one tomorrow and one on Sunday. I'm done then nothing booked for the future. I'm kinda considering backing off anyway to give me time to enjoy the rest of the hols. And sorting out any school work I have to do.
EDIT: Just booked one for September...oh is out that day and I can get myself a cheap tea! :rotfl:Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

Right well I've done some more work on my scheme of work. I know what I'm doing now, just need to figure out how to write it up on the pro forma thing. It doesn't really make any sense and is not remotely how I'd do it but whatever!
Also thinking I need to rattle of my portfolio this weekend. I've been a bit slack on all the school work front due to the toilet and lots of MSing. So now it's time to knuckle down to try and make sure my last week off is work free!
I feel like I've totally wasted these holidays and I feel quite down tonight if I'm honest. Bah...need to get a grip I think. OH is really doing my head in as well but I've no idea why.
Think I'm going to try and get up early tomorrow and have a productive day if I can. That might make me feel better.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25
