A good news day today. Got my hair cut...which is always nice. Then my folks took me out for lunch and paid me back a chunk of the money they owe me. Which comes in v handy.

So just gotta be productive now and get all my medium term plans done....them I'm ok to relax.

Awww...my hubby decided to pay for my hair cut because he loves it so much. It must be a good hair cut though cos I've been beating him off since I got it done...ha ha. Not that I'm complaining.

Anyway, we got our final wedding present through today from our French friends (we got married in December). It's one of those digital photo frames. We were made up because we don't have to choose which photos we show now, we can show them all....yey!

I've only got tomorrow then I'm back to school, I'm gutted. I like the school and everything but I like being off more....ha ha. Still I've only got 4/5 weeks left before I finish my placement so I can relax then.

Going shopping tomorrow to by a wedding outfit. I picked it out online but I'm going to try it on and double check it tomorrow! Time for bed I reckon. Early start tomorrow.

Ah well, It's been ages since I bought any clothes and I've no posh ones full stop, so I think they are a good investment really. Ahem.

Not been on here for AGES! So I thought I'd post.

I'm pooped. I'm in the final 2 weeks of my final school placement. I'll miss the staff and kids when I go, but man I'll be sooooo pleased to get it out of the way. CANNOT WAIT!

No rest for the wicked though, don't finish uni until the 20th June. And I'm marking SAT's papers (providing I pass the standardisation thingy). Fingers crossed!!! If I do and am, I'll earn myself a tidy sum! Yey. But it's a fair bit of work though.

Fingers crossed, I wanna finish the standardisation tomorrow so I'm hoping to be sorted then.

    So a nice little update!

Passed standardisation....sat with half a shipment in my living room....doh!

Also, finished placement yesterday....woo hoo! I am finally more or less a qualified teacher.

AND, on Wednesday I got a job. Working at the same school as one of my best mates off my PGCE course. Which is brill because we get to do our NQT year together! Yey!!! So thinks seem to be falling into place at the minute....yey.

excellent, I've nearly finished my PGCE too graduation in July! Buut no more teaching for me until next year as off on maternity leave in a few weeks.

    Ev x
  • Congrats on getting the job - my cousin also just heard he's got his, at a school he really wanted to work at. There're so many new enthusiatic teachers around!

I've applied for redundancy from work, and am toying with the idea of teaching (I have a PGCE in post-16 education, so would need to re-train for school), but I'm not totally sure I'd have the patience...

Must admit TTBG, I had my doubts as to whether I'd be able to hack it, or be any good when I started. But I love it.

Yeah there are days where you think....why am I doing this again. But then one comment from one kid can be enough to make it all worthwhile and leave you floating on air......sad but true!

I'm not sure I could go back to a "normal job" now. There again, ask me next year when in full flow of NQT year...ha ha. It might be a different answer.

Try and get a few days in school, you never know how you'll feel about it. If you'd like to do it but aren't sure if you have the patience, I'd say try it. You can always pull out.

I don't think it's failing to pull out. Theres really only one way to see if this job is for you and thats to try it! Good luck if you do. What would you teach??

OOOOh and good luck with the birth evab. Fingers crossed for you!
