    Thanks LM.

Where you planning on going to? What are your reasons for wanting to escape if you don't mind me asking?

    Hi Twinklie,

Ideally we'd like to go to France. We're fed up with every bit of 'green' around us being built on so we'd like our own space where our children can play safely in their own land and have a less hassled way of life. Plus, and I sound really old now, this place ain't what it used to be.

How about you, where do you plan to go?

    LM :)

Right, time for an update now I'm on my hols and have time too.

I've been to the market this morning and bought loads of fresh fruit and veg.

Bit of a change on the old future front. Doesn't look like my OH is going to finish his degree - doesn't think he'll get his dissertation in on time. So we are BOTH looking for jobs.

ARGH! His work contract runs out in July and he said that he won't get anything as well paid as he's on now (he did drop lucky with that job to be fair). It's a bit upsetting really.

The positives now....more teaching jobs are being advertised so I actually have things to apply for which is rather nice. So it would be nice to get a job sorted ASAP now, what with OH's future looking dodgy.

Also, I have a marking job for May/June/July....marking SATS papers. So, I'm hoping that earns me a few bob to try and tide us over.

I'm fine now, if it gets to June/July and nether of us have anything lined up then I will start to panic!

my Oh goes out wed nights and I tend to spend the evening on AQA. It stands for any question answered. Google it. People basically text questions and you answer them. You get paid per answer.
:D Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!:D

I hope he does, it would be a shame not to complete so close to the end. Also even if his dissertation is not completely up to scratch he'll still get marked for it and as long as he passes it he'll get the degree.

    What is his degree in?

Finally there is a dissertation motivation thread in the student money saving area - maybe that could help him focus.

    Thanks cupid.

I know, I've said all this to him. He's going in for a crisis meeting with his tutor tomorrow to figure out his options. So fingers crossed something will get sorted.

He needs to bloody write the dissertation in order to get any marks for it. However, he still likes to work on paper which is slowing him down somewhat.

He's doing environmental science. It's a little frustrating on my part because it puts a lot of pressure on me. And if they say he can submit it next yr then it's going to cost.

Still, theres very little I can do about that now.
