Right I feel like I'm getting somewhere now. Form reports checked and handed back, year 8 reports written, gonna plan lessons etc for tomorrow now - well I know what I'm doing just gotta get bits together.

I'm pooped. Was in school till after 5 doing coursework catch up with year 11s. One refused saying she doesn't need to do it and left.

Right have given up on work. I'm pooped. I can't believe it's got this late before I'm eating....just bunged some oven chips into the oven. Not got the energy for anything else. I'll have a nice yoghurt for dessert...lol. A very well balanced meal...ahem.

I'm pleased with the amount I've managed to get done, especially considering the lack of time I've had free in school this week. Gave up my PPA today to look after one of the other teachers who had a proper funny turn (she was my friend before we both started at school). She was waiting for her dad to come and get her but I didn't want to leave her on her own incase she keeled over. And yesterdays was lost to a bloody meeting. Grr.

Hoping I'm not on cover tomorrow so that I can get some tests marked. I'll go mad otherwise. Mad as in crazy.

Phew...glad this week is over it's been a bit of a nightmare. I've not worked this hard in AGES!

Anyway, time to make a new list to help me focus on the coming week and this weekend. I have tickets to go and see a comedian tonight but no one to go with so I'm not going now. Going to make full use of my time by starting work on my new list instead!!

    Good luck twinklie.

Hubby and I aimed at being mortgage free by 30 and just managed it with 2 months to spare. It has made life alot easier. We do wish we hadn't pushed ourselves quite as hard though. We gave up alot of the nice things in life for too long.

Now all our spare cash goes on the kids and their school fees. When does it ever end

Awww thanks pup. Our mortgage free is on hold now for upping it instead for the new house. But when thats done and dusted we will be chucking money at the mortgage left and right.

We have no kids yet (fingers crossed for the future though), but I am quite aware of how expensive they can be! My nephew costs me enough. ha ha.

Well done you though...mortgage free by 30! That would be my dream! Very unlikely to happen though. Never mind, will have to see what we can do.

Right looking at the old list I've not done that bad this week...woo hoo!
Anyhoo, I've been at work late today due to yr 9 options evening. It was a poor turn out to be honest. But most of my kids came which I was really pleased with.

Although I couldn't have been more annoyed with the teacher I was partnered with. She sat and planned her bloody lessons leaving me to do all the sodding work. I was well annoyed. I wasn't going to slack off though becuase I wanted the kids to get the correct information, it's ment to be about them after all!! Grrrr....

Anyhoo, rant over. I've got my mate coming round for tea tomorrow which I'm looking forward to. He split up with his fiance not long ago, so it'll be nice to make sure he's ok. So I'll be having an enforced night off. But it's up early on Saturday because we have to take the car to the garage to get the chip in the windscreen fixed. Bloody typical it is....get a new car....get a chip! Boo.

Anyway, after that the weekend is pretty much a bust. OH has his disertation to sort out and I have to do all my prep for school. It will be another late one on Thursday due to parents evening. It's a nightmare, I'm booked full right from 4.30 through till 7pm. Grrr....damn having keen and interested students. Ha ha. Mind you it will go faster than my yr 11 one where I sat twiddling my thumbs most of the time. :j

  • Most of the windscreen places will come out to you - would that save you an early morning alarm and trip to the garage place? Always well worth getting it fixed when it's just a chip, though.

I'm sure it's a sign of your prowess (sp?) as a teacher that you're fully booked for the parents' evening - everyone wants to know what you think!
