    great news about hard drive!

If you could let us know which slow cooker recipes work out well, that'd be really helpful. I have a slow cooker, but doesn't see quite enough action as a few things I've made have been a bit bland. Have had a few successes too, so not completely given up on it ;)

Snap...any slow cooker recipes that you use I'd love to have. Don't bother if it has mushrooms as a key ingredient though because I can't digest them. :D You'd be trying to kill me. :rotfl:

Going to be a long old day today and it's Belles second day at school...exciting stuff. I'm more nervous this week than I was last week which is funny.

OOOh how do you make lentil soup??

As for Belles second day at school. Erm....not so good. I didn't work with her this week - DH did. Anyway he basically couldn't get her to do anything for him...she was a bit of a nightmare. When we came home I asked her to do stuff for me and she did it straight away. Oophs! So I'm going to make some extra tasty treats for next week for her so that he might have more luck.

Just thought I'd bring my to do list on to the new page. Yawn. Not as much has disappeared from it as I would have liked but thats because I've not done anything since Friday. I'm feeling a bit under the weather at the minute so if I can get my dis proposal finished today I'll be ecstatic!! I have lots of articles to read though before finishing it is possible. We shall see.

I need to do some more training with Belle as well because DH had a bit of a nightmare with her this morning and I think she might be dadless soon unless she improves. :rotfl:

I think we can all see that Belle is a Mummy's girl! :D

I once had a recipe for lentil soup but I now make it with whatever I fancy :) Onions, red lentils, veg stock and garlic is the base. My DH likes it with a tin of toms in it and my MIL puts hot dogs in it. You can use any lentils you like but you may need to soak the larger ones.

Here's a recipe I found for you to try.

    340g red split lentils
    3 tablespoons vegetable oil
    2 medium onions, finely diced
    3 carrots, finely diced
    3 sticks celery, finely diced
    2 cloves garlic, roughly chopped
    1 bay leaf
    3 sprigs parsley
    1.5 litres water
Salt and freshly ground black pepper

Just chop it up and chuck it in :) (sometimes I add little bits of pasta too)

Oh, and I found this which I'm going to try as well http://www.cheap-family-recipes.org.uk/recipe-tomatoolivepudding.html?opt=rtest

Ooohhh, SML, is that Weezl's website? I recognise some of the recipes :)

HHmmmmm....defo going to try that recipe. Also, thank you so much for the website as well. I'll have a closer look at that at some point.

As it is we've got our food sorted for the next couple of days.
    Stuffed peppers,
Chicken and bacon risotto (in slow cooker)
    Veggie Stew (slow cooker)
    Winter veggie Soup (slow cooker)
Patatas Bravas (a tapas style starter we'll have when we have the soup).

We are trying to cut down on meat because it's expensive. So we'll see how we do.

I'm currently laughing my head off at Belle, she's sleeping in a stupid position which means she doesn't fit in her basket...she won't accept this though ans is wriggling around trying to get comfy. Currently her body is in the basket and her head is hanging over and her face is squashed into the floor. Ha ha.

I've also managed to finish my dissertation proposal and just need to submit it now. :j
