Just managed to bag myself a food related MS for next week for me and DH. :j So that is something to look forward to.
Also, made a bit of a boob! I looked on the RSPCA website at the dogs needing a home! OMG I'm thick. I've gone all doggy broody now. Still, I'll have a baby to play with xmas day which should keep me busy. Yey for nephews and their little toys!Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

Right the list has taken a back seat as the christmas prep goes into overdrive!! We've spent over £250 on presents yesterday (last minute shoppers...us??).
Caught DH trying to sneak out my pressie yesterday...didn't see what it was but I already know. He's got me a freeview+ box. So I can record my programs. I love him but he's no imagination so I just told him I wanted one... ha ha.
Anyway, 2 more presents to get and then I need to buy things to go in DH's nan's xmas hamper. Jams etc...but we can do that as we go xmas food shopping later - we've got the CD parts of it.
Good job we got the Tesco's credit card, it's 0% on new purchases for 12 months and we are both a bit skint. Does mean I'll have to add to my debt list on here though. OOphs.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

Right I've updated my signature to reflect the new credit cards we have and the outstanding debt on them. They are 0% for 15 months on number 1 and 12 months on number 2. Number 2 will be paid off quickly, but is a tesco clubcard credit card so will be used regularly and paid off in full most months.
Number 2 is the one we transfered all the B & Q spends onto. This won't be paid off until nearer the end of the 0% period, however, it will be being reduced every month. So I'm not too worried about either really because it's all planned debt and we could pay them off if really necessary.
I'm still managing to OP the mortgage by the same amount each month but the SO I have into my ISA will have to go on hold for a couple of months. But this is a small price to pay I feel.
My current debate is whether to attempt to do some xmas shopping for next year in the sales and put stuff away. Or should I just wait till next christmas given our current financial situation. I know I could do it throughout the year - but that never happens. I'll probably end up waiting. I don't feel comfortable spending on the credit cards for things we don't really need.
Besides, we are planning on another US trip next xmas back to where I used to live. So we need to save up for that really.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

I'd hang on til nearer the time for next year's pressies. I did buy a couple of things for DS in the Jan sales and to be honest he'd outgrown them a bit really. I know (I hope!) it's a bit different with husbands but do you really fancy having to hide stuff for a whole 12 months? Dunno, just my 2pence worth
Who's your 15month 0% CC with by the way?Updating soon...0 -
I wasn't thinking about getting DH's yet - we'll probably just get each other something in the US if we go again. More, mum and dad from both sides etc. But yeah, I was thinking whats good now might not be in 12 months. Knowing my luck they'd probably buy whatever it is in the mean time anyway.
The 15 month 0% CC is with HSBC. You need a current account with before you can get it though. I've been with them for years which is why I got one. I think it's a 16.9% variable after the 15 months. And I think the 15 months 0% is only on balance transfers....I think it's 6 months for purchases...but I could be wrong.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

I'm thinking of making my first ever New Years resolution and it concerns exercise. I don't need to lose any weight (I'm only tiny). But I'd like to be healthier and more flexible. So might go back to my Wii fit training. It got thrown out of wack and stopped when DH moved down to Wales. All my free time went on driving back and forth and sorting things out for him.
I feel we are in a better place/routine now and I know when and where I can fit things in. Plus my freeview + pressie means I can record tv and watch things later now as well....bonus!
I think 30 mins of exercise 5 days a week would be a bonus. Better than nothing I guess.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25
