Hmmm....just got a bit of bad news. OH might be loosing his djing job. Thats a massive amount we'd be losing. Bit worried about it to be honest. I'd be devastated if it ended up meaning OH had to quit his Phd. Fingers crossed it won't happen...but in case it does.

How do I make money doing something I can fit round teaching and that doesn't take up loads of time? And isn't tutoring...

I know you don't want tutoring but have you thought about the one to one tutoring? Perhaps you could enrol as a one to one tutor and work for primary schools in your local area after school or at the weekends. May make it a huge difference working with a different age group. Alternatively, I know of a teacher who worked evenings and weekends for Safeway when they existed.

Hi twinklie, sorry to hear about the djing. Maybe if it does fall through your OH could get another job down there? As you know I tutor as it works for me, but I also used to work (Around 16 hours/week) in a supermarket, which was low paid, but really quite fun. I also used to do work at play schemes in the summer hols - again good fun but not great pay.

    Hope you think of something!

Nobody has said anything about OH losing DJing job...so fingers crossed it was all rumours.

I have to buy a secret santa pressie for a bloke I've drawn out at work. £5 no chocolate or alcohol...any suggestions? I'm getting stressed. I'm not his greatest fan and know very little about him!
