I've said 'C' because I assume we're talking about UK-based finance here.
Mrs Mothballs is Russian, and they don't have their own Martin, and when she came over here, I helped her with getting a bank account. Now, I know what Martin would say when I say this, but with her being a foreign national, we were a little restricted with what we could get her to begin with.
The mortgage and bills for the house are all in my name, as are the house deeds - for the simple reason that I started buying the house before we married.
There are financial things we talk about together, but the utility switching and stuff she leaves to me (as well as sorting out companies when they make mistakes, but that's a story for a different thread).0 -
Of course D is most popular, that's because it is how things should be.
Women are more skilled at admin and organisation so she should have control of all the money and make all the buying decisions, even if he is the one that earns it!0 -
With so many women seem to be running the financial side of things in most house holds it needs a question answering!!
Why is households up and down the country in so much debt????
C in my house hold all the way!!!!!0 -

Just because one sex now controls the finances, doesn't mean it has always been like that... Households are in debt, not because one person or the other controls the finances, but because society in general has made debt acceptable, and buy-now-pay-later a way of lfe for many.'We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars' - Oscar Wilde0 -
all done by me now as in past, husband completely forgot to pay car insurance and he was driving around for 6 WEEKS with no insurance before I noticed it hadn't been paid!! He also tends to bin important post as thinks it's all just a pile of junk mail. Data Protection Act is a nightmare as he has no idea about many finance things but they are in his name and he never knows his security numbers/passwords - has to ask me and then companies won't talk to either of us!!0

C all the way.
I'm only 21 and just finished uni a few months ago, yet I now control the savings/investments/mortgages/bills etc for my parents, my GF, and my sister as well as my own. (that's 4 different properties). Saved a couple thousand in bills so far.
My dad is a bank manager of 35 years and has been slowly giving me control from 17 and now I'm in charge and he only suggests a couple ideas here and there for a bit of further research. All in all, 2 mortgages, roughly 23 accounts, and dozens of bills.
I should start charging commission...0
