Sorry
That was 35 pounds not 30.

Does this apply to new customers?

Simon,
Ive upgraded and they call the tariffs Select 500 and Select 750, try that.
Cheers

I didn't have to try to hard, first of all they offered me 500x net mins plus 60 text. I said no and told them I would be leaving.
I was already on the 5oo mins for £25 deal and they basically gave me a new phone and an exta 500 texts free every month.
I wish matrix would stop going on about 02 in an orange thread, I rang O2 and their offers are for existinf customers only so irrelevant to orange customers.nothing.0 -

The reason i'm going on about O2 offers is that there cheaper than the ones Orange are offering you!! I can't see the logic in paying for something you can get cheaper elsewhere!!
Now, I know you guys are on Orange but the point i'm making is that if O2 can do better deals than Orange for their existing customer does it not say something. Would it not be better to ditch Orange get a deal with O2 if the coverage etc is acceptable and when its time to upgrade feel more like a value customer instead of being ripped off which is whats happening to you!
After all this site is called Money Saving Expert!!

O2 may be more desperate for customers hence trying to prevent so much churn with current offers.0

Gurjit,
Thanks for the info.
You are correct - these 2 tariffs do exist and can be applied at the discretion of the retentions department.
Unfortunately the guy at Orange wasn't prepared to upgrade me to these tariffs as I am not a large enough user (I av 250 mins per month on talk 200 - but would use many more if it weren't for the cost).
So after many years with orange I have a PAC and need a home for it!!!
30 days and counting.................
Cheers,
Simon.
Now back to the board in earnest...................0 -
Just tried to upgrade my tariff.
Was on Your Plan 200 for £30 a month and have been for almost 12months. Phone bill usually averages £35-£50 inc. my linerental.
Got offered a few packages but the best I thought that would suit me was 400xnet mins a month with 30texts thrown in for £30 a month. Got a new Motorola V3 Black outta them which should be sent out 2mrw.
Not an amazing deal but much better than what I was already on and when I mentioned that I'd seen half price line rental on O2 elsewhere she said that these were cash back offers and that they couldn't price match them.
I'm happy with orange myself. Never had any problems and do like the 241 cinema ticket deal every wednesday so didn't really wanna change networks but said from the start that if i didnt get a better deal I would be asking for my PAC number. They tried to tie me into a 18month deal as well but I wasn't having any of it.0 -
I got upgraded on orange last december and for 30 pounds got 200 minutes and 500 texts plus new nokia 62 whatever it is. I got that when I asked for my pac number etc.0
