Let's see if the website has been corrected... No, of course not.

I really liked the look of the Abbey ISA, but they don't know their ar**es from their elbows - I have been trying to sort out two savings a/c's with them - and it's driving me nuts, their admin is appalling and they don't read too well either. I am going to avoid future dealings with them as I have completely lost confidence in them efficiently handling any of my funds.0

The direct ISA issue 2 is definitely VARIABLE.
Issue 1 is currently
5.75 £1 to £9000
6.00 £9000 +
Am I right in thinking Issue 1's rate is going to drop by 0.5% when the "inclusive bonus" ends? I think it was a 0.5% bonus.
How stupid to set up a headline rate account that's not operated online, when Issue 1 was. Issue 1's rate will be 1% worse than than the Issue 2 after 5th April, it appears, and Issue 2's rate drops by 1-1.5% in a year's time. The Postal ISA I was using until last year is probably paying !!!!!! all now. Why make people jump through these hoops every year to keep a reasonable rate, or failing that, at least let me keep accessing the accounts via the same method?!
I've just put the last of this year's allowance in their direct ISA but I expect I will be taking next year's elsewhere.0 -

Nobody forces people to put their money in accounts with short term bonuses.
Many people on here are going for Icesave ISA rather than Abbey or A+L ( including someone on here who works for Abbey) because while Icesave ISA rate may currently slightly less than A+L + Abbey rates, everybody knows that in all probability Icesave ISA rate will be higher than A+L+ Abbey ISA rates in 12/13 Months time.
If people didnt fall for short term bonuses, Certain Savings Providers ( and it is always the usual suspects) wouldnt bother launching such accounts.0 -

Anyone who has an Easy ISA or Issue 1 needs to fill in a form, you do not need ID and it will be transfered for you,
Need to point out that all the forms are sent to head office (even if you go into the branch) and as a lot of people will want to do this, there will probably be a backlog, it should be 3 days from the day HEAD OFFICE receive the form, I must stress head office NOT THE BRANCH
I can't find the rates for their Direct ISA issue 1 anywhere on the Abbey website since issue 2 was unvailed. Can anyone point me in the right direction?0
