Details of Barclays' new ISA are on their website now, and they won't accept transfers in. So it's only possible to put £3600 in, or £6600 for anyone who hasn't done an ISA for 07/08 yet.
Yip i meant Barclays new ISA is better deal than Abbeys new ISA for new Money.( was late when i did that post)
"With Base Rates expected to drop further I believe Nationwides 6.15% is better deal for both ISA transfers and new 2008/09 ISA Money than a 6.25% Variable rate ISA assuming Nationwides 6.15% Fix is still available on 6th April 2008. )

Soooo for me it would seem that Nationwide is better for my transfer of funds (8.5k) then also transfer Barclays Tax Beater (2.5k) then get a new Barclays one for 08-09 ?
Unless I transfer them at the same time and go with Lloyds0 -
I would go for the Nationwide fixed ISA but the only thing putting me off is that you have to go to the branch to open one.0

Another alternative, will only take one 0.25% Base Rate decrease for the 6.25% variables to fall to 6% in all probability.

Good alternative for next years ISA but Im also looking for a new home for my previous years ISAs. (Old one was Kent Reliance)0

Nationwide Transfer "ins", that ive just organised, I picked up ISA application form in Branch + transfer form and posted it onto Nationwide ISA Office in Swindon.
( I wanted to make sure that the 6.15% rate was being held following Nationwides Variable Savings rates changes, this info i became aware of during Friday evening, so i posted ISA transfer forms on Saturday)
Being as Nationwide Branches dont do the transfers, applying at a Branch is irrelevant, I assume it says apply at a Branch as not many saving application forms are available to download.
If getting to a Branch is tricky phone one/or Swindon and ask for forms to be posted to u.
How long the rate remains for I guess depends on how much Nationwide wants additional ISA funds.
KRBS, are very quick at transferring out BTW, partly because they dont need to write asking for Passbook to be sent to them.0 -
oh really? in that case I'll pop down to Nationwide during my lunch hour tomorrow. Thanks for that info.0
