When Did I pass my Driving licence

After many years I am about to get a car and I have been asked by the insurance company, as to when I passed my test. I believe it was in 1989, but how can I establish the exact date.

Is that the date you passed or the date your new licence was issued.

The date you passed is printed on your driving licence (on the back of the pink card). It also shows when your driving licence expires - a very scary date a long way in the future! (For me anyway!)

If you have one of the photocard licences, it shows which date you passed. If you look on the paper bit of the licence under your name and address, it shows under the 'Provisional entitlement' section two dates - the 'From' box is when you passed your test and the 'Until' box is the date before your 70th birthday. If you still have the old style licence, then it didn't show the date, I'm afraid.

Thank you all for your help - There was a sticker over the back of the driving licence card which attached it to licence document, so it was hidden - I was right with the year 21-03-1989.

i bett thing have changed since you lot passed your test or is it just the same with more fools on the road
mine 24/01/86 and the silly thing a had 6 points too would never have got a licence now adays
