Wretched server down this weekend, so I've had to spend all evening catching up with the posts, and then have no time left for flying. Shame.;)

I have actually done a bit in the kitchen, but not a proper fly - well, I've done it thoroughly most weeks, so I guess one week's rest won't hurt (I'm feeling guilty, can you tell?)

Gardened for a friend this morning, and in the sun it was lovely - cold wind though! Somehow just managed to waste time this afternoon, popped into town, and paid in some money, picked up some photos from Boots, and got out without spending any money at all.

Welcome to all the newbies - lovely to have you with us!

pigpen - ouch. I wasn't in the least tempted to laugh, that must hurt!

AnW's mum - hugs, and I'll be thinking of you. We're all here, maltesers and tea at the ready!

I've read too much to manage a message for everyone I wanted to, so hugs to all of you!!

Solway - yeahhhhhhh! Well done on your promotion.
Soappie - DON'T BLOW! Not sure what else to advise but don't blow incase you set it off again.
All the sick people...hope you're feeling better very soon but please, please don't breath on your computer when you're typing - I don't want to catch it and i've heard all about these computer viruses!!

Well, the dog bed stank because there was dried up sick inbetween her duvet and the bed itself (sorry if you're eating)! She smells a little fresher now! I supposed i'd better look at tomorrow's list. Hope the bruise is a bit better pigpen xx

    1) what ever you do, don't blow it.
    2) don't tip head back.
    3) if it keeps bleeding, pinch the bit at bottom of your (the bit with no bone).
    4) breathe through your mouth, until it stop's

    hope that helps

Pigpen - do you not like me. My bedroom is a tip and will take ages. Due to new floor 'stuff' has been shoved in bedroom all weekend and now i've got to sort it all out because you chose the bedroom! I guess i'll thank you tomorrow; (and why Ruby?)

Ruby Tuesday - Master Bedroom & Landing
    Level 1
    Check fire alarms are working
Fling open that window and blow those cobwebs out!! Air the room!!! Nothing worse than a bedroom smelling of parps!
    Remove and wash bed linen.
    Level 2
30 minutes floor clearance.. that includes floordrobe and junk!
    Level 3
Vacuum floors in bedroom and on landing
Sort 10 things from a wardrobe/chest of drawers that you can get rid of... and a pair of shoes only counts as one thing! likewise socks!.. and it is time those knickers you have had for 37 years were binned.. let them go liberate yourself!!
Dust surfaces & make sure no cobwebs...
Extra tasks list, as usual choose one or more
    • 43 fling boogie time, go on grab a bag and clear that clutter
    • In your stash of 'things'.. sort through and get rid of at least a carrier full.. decluttering we call it!
    • Wipe down the skirting in the bedroom and on the landing.
    Extra jobs I need to do;
    - walk dog
    - chase up refund for two cancelled courses
    - vacuum stairs before I trip up on the dog
    - 5mGC
    - fill up bird feeders
    - washing machine load
    - dry for ten minutes and hang
    - wash spare dog duvet as they both have sick on now (never washed it last time).
    - work
    - right up evaluation of weekend course
    - 15 minutes of sorting out course notes and handouts
    - sweep all downstairs, vacuum and clean floors throughout
    - check piano tuner is coming
    - half hour watching birds and chillling out

    That's it for me!

Why isn't there anything on telly? xx
  • soappie definitely don't blow.

Pinch the bridge of your nose. Don't tip your head back as it will drip down the back of your throat, don't lean forward as it will pour. I sometimes go for a cold flannel held over the bridge of the nose as the coldness helps the blood to clot.

when it stops, resist the urge to clean away the blood clot for a few hours, as it will start again.

i haven't had many, but the last one i had was a stress one before an exam at university, and i seriously thought i would end up missing the exam. I managed to get it to stop though in the end by sitting very still and doing as above.

Can't do the bedroom, it's not Wednesday! Humph! I'll just have to switch that around somewhere, nevermind :D I'll do the sitting room after we get back from the opticians with little guy, DP been TOLD he's getting up in the morning, no ifs or buts, I'll open the blinds and window if he doesn't, he's been warned, I am not battling with DS2 on my own.

Most of DSs prep work for his thing at school tomorrow done, just need to add some piccys and print it off.

:D good news Megan's hair loss seems to be getting better, must be finished or nearly finished getting rid of her winter coat because I've only vacuumed ONCE today and it isn't too bad, that should save me lots of time as been doing it up to 4 times a day.

    Right, what's left for me?

Take racks out of DW when finished
Fill DW with what's been waiting from dinner etc
    Empty kitchen bin
    Fill washer and start it
    Tidy kitchen
    Packed lunches
Food for tomorrows dinner out - DP won't be able to eat before we leave so something easy for when we get back (I might see if I can get out of going)
    Uniforms sorting for in morning
    Find drops for DS2s eyes
    Online banking and bills paying
Work through this months accounts a bit more (when what needs paying, where can make savings etc)
Put my done work in order and in a plastic thingamy
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb

Well I didn't get as much done in the kitchen as I would have liked but at least I can see the worktops and they are clean too, as are the appliances and doorfronts. I am just trying to convince myself to do the floor before hubby gets in but just want to sit down and watch a film now.

I think I will skip the floor tonight and just have some ice cream instead... fair trade I think, wonder if DH will agree though. The floor will still be there in the morning but the quiet will definately not so I think I am just going to enjoy it now.;)

Will just write out tomorrows list in my diary and then raid the freezer.
  • G&B, ahh, it all becomes clear! Hope embb's avatar isn't Gary Barlow, I've never thought him handsome before but then I m having new specs at the weekend...
Thanks for the congrats folks, hot chocs are on me tonight. When my boss got his promotion he brought in a ridiculous amount of Milky Bars just so he could say the ad line from the 70's.
Soappie, glad you qualified the 'eliminate' thing, I was wondering..I missed most of last weeks posts so I'm guessing it wasn't the gardener. Hope the nose has stopped gushing, no tips I'm afraid.

Don't think I got to level 3 but the hob, grill and inside of the oven door are clean. I love Starclen. I'll put the dishes away in a bit and get my lunch together for tomorrow then that's it. I've eaten a whole bunch of asparagus with my tea; I want to know if the myth is truth :rotfl:
