  • Just having a read of today's goings on and getting warmed up before I tackle the kitchroom..
Pigpen, ouch..I laughed at the whole scene though. Soz..
AnWsmum, you've a fab attitude. Sending you some strengthy vibes to top yours up.
Embb, who's that handsome sort in your avatar?
Welcome back Rumbly, hope you're enjoying your new house.
Gunsnbanjos..those mottos in your signature..did you make some of them up?!

Good news for me today, I got my promotion without having to go all the way to Surrey for an afternoon interview. In fact no interview at all. Yippee!
Even better than that I got loads of 19p bargains at the co-op when I popped in for milk. asparagus, fennel, avocados, mangoes, choccy pud..
D'you ever worry when things seem to be going your way that there's something major looming on the horizon? Hopefully it's just the oven that I'm off to spend some quality time with right now..

    Catch you all later.

Soappie - not like you to be awol hope you are ok hun

    BOO!

I'm here! Thank you for your concern :) I appreciate it - I'm fine - just don't know where the weekend went. I was just busy doing lots of Other Things. This morning I overslept so didn't have time to log on to check the board out.

But, having checked out today's flying list, seems I've done most of it already ! The phone didn't stop ringing when I got in from work so, using my nifty headset, I was able to put the kitchen to rights.

Pigpen - sorry to hear about your bum - I hope it gets better soon - I just don't want to know whether or not DH kisses it better......
Newbies - a big hi to you all
AnW's mum - thinking of you - maybe YOU ought to phone mil and explain it all? It WILL be horrible and difficult hearing all the medical details and things in a cold, unemotional inquest room setting. You are clearly prepared for that but she must be too - after all, you want to be there and if she's there and takes a turn, will you have to look after her rather than do what you're there for - to find things out and listen?

    ORF update
Last Thursday, as you know, I eliminated the gardener. Since then I've also eliminated next door's window cleaner and house cleaner. I have now decided on the network cam I'm going to get. It's this one

    http://www.broadbandstuff.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=1069

Not the bottom of the range, but not half as expensive as the one my son was suggesting! The good thing is, it's wireless so I can move it around the house to view different bits and pieces. I now just need to find a day when I can work from home v. soon so I can order it next day delivery the day before and be in for when it arrives.

    Watch this space :D
    update off

    :o CLARIFICATION :o

When I typed 'eliminate' I meant 'eliminate from my enquiries' !!! No - I didn't get the gardener to dig a big hole for a new patio and stuff them all in it :rotfl:

:rotfl: soappie would we think you would do that? no because they don't drive a fiat! No more suprise parties or flowers for you if you're watching who goes in and out all day :rotfl: have you tried Maplins? they might have them cheaper, if they do drop me a PM I think I have some voucher codes for there might get you a fiver off or something..

Solwaykid, well done on the promotion, hot choccies on you tonight then?

g&b I wouldn't have if the tattoo artist wasn't a friend and a nice guy! Just didn't want him to think I was ignorant. TBH DP is always like that with making calls for important stuff then spends £70 a month ish on mobile calls calling his mates. No sense in it.

Mudbath, I would have chosen other words, now he's being nice, unfortunately for him I don't forgive/forget that easy.

Right time to get tiddles and piddles to bed, little tikes have got up by 6am all week while on hols then this morning didn't want to get up, typical.
One day I might be more organised...........

Hugs to all in need - apple spiced muffins also available to all in need! (Get them quick before the kids eat them all!)

A-ha ... master bedroom and landing ... oh goodie, I was actually hoping that would be tomorrow (masochist?!) as I've just finished the ironing and have an empty basket, LOL .... and more to the point I don't work on a Tuesday, so DD can help me sort the room out ...... yeh right, more like, she makes a bed on the floor whilst I sort out around her ;)

Ruby Tuesday - Master Bedroom & Landing
    Level 1
    Check fire alarms are working
Fling open that window and blow those cobwebs out!! Air the room!!! Nothing worse than a bedroom smelling of parps!

    Level 2
Vacuum mattress before replacing with fresh linen..
30 minutes floor clearance.. that includes floordrobe and junk!
    Level 3
Vacuum floors in bedroom and on landing
Sort 10 things from a wardrobe/chest of drawers that you can get rid of... and a pair of shoes only counts as one thing! likewise socks!.. and it is time those knickers you have had for 37 years were binned.. let them go liberate yourself!!
Dust surfaces & make sure no cobwebs...
Extra tasks list, as usual choose one or more
    • 43 fling boogie time, go on grab a bag and clear that clutter
    • In your stash of 'things'.. sort through and get rid of at least a carrier full.. decluttering we call it!
    • Drag out the bed and clean the bed bunnies out!!
    • Wipe down the skirting in the bedroom and on the landing.

Evening, didn't get chance to log on today. Been to busy doing the kitchen. Level 3 done but I did put the oven cleaner on last night so today all it needed was washing off and no scrubbing.
Glad it's the master bedroom tomorrow as I sorted out the masses of stuff I brought from the Boots 75% off sale this afternoon. It was all flung under the bed and its now all boxed and in the loft ready for Xmas 2008.
Right time for a drink, see u all tomorrow.
