Ever so slightly off topic, although some relevance.
"How do Stoozers / Rate Tarts afford their stoozing / tarting".
What I mean is that I've got about 32k stoozed debt at the momment (am waiting for my Egg card to arrive - currently 7.5k limit but will see if I can increase it before BTing), and my re-payments (minimum) are now totaling about £350 per month. At some point in the near future (and it might be the Egg increasaed limit wil do it) I will not be able to service the minimum monthly repayments.

Update: I've just thought. I jumped on the Abbey FRM Saver (7%) with the maximum £500 pm and am now thinking that perhaps I should not have done that but, instead used the £500 pm capital to finance more stoozing debt with the whole of the stoozed money earning 5%.......... ummmm (bit late now, oh well)Personal Responsibility - Sad but True
Sometimes.... I am like a dog with a bone0 -
Why not pay the minimum payment from your stooze pot? You'll need to make a transfer from your savings to your current account before the payment is due.Next year we'll be millionaires!0

Just a question. I have 0 balance on my Egg Card. If I BT money from another card making a credit balance can I then transfer this to my bank account, and if so are they any charges?
Thanks
TrevI am NOT a mortgage & insurance adviser - or anything to do with finance, that was put on by the new system I dont know why?!0 -
Yes, it should work OK, with no charges, providing you don't go into negative balance on that payment month. According to the motley fool website, there has been some people who have had problems with this when they have put there card into a higher positive balance than there credit limit, as they have not been able to bt more than there credit limit. If this occurs maybe it's possible to make a few bt's.Next year we'll be millionaires!0

I've just applied for Egg card - got £4,000 credit limit.
When I get the card I'll put dosh into high interest account.
Do I apply for an increase now or when I get the card?
If it's when I get the card, can I then apply for the credit limit increases & do more SBT's or is it only one SBT that's allowed/free?
Cheers, JonSmile and be happy, things can usually get worse!0 -

Jon,
I can't advise on ur 1st question - But I can confirm that you can do as many SBT's with Egg as you like and u won't get charged. Just make sure that u only do this in 0% period0 -
I think applying for an increase in the first few months will always be a no. Does anyone else know different?I've just applied for Egg card - got £4,000 credit limit.
