  • By increasing my limit £2000 each day, within one week I had obtained £15,000 limit.

Looks like this works. I applied for an extra 3K a couple of weeks ago, (6.5K - 9.5K) I didn't get an instant decision, took 2 days. Just applied for another 2K, instant decision - YES  ;D
So I'm going to try tomorrow & the day after to see if I can get the 15K. It would be nice for the anniversary offer.  ;)

  • Didn't work for hubby. He just requested an increase from £11500 to £12500 on a £25k income, and was refused. He has just been given an Egg Blue in the last few months with a limit of £8500, so maybe that is the reason.

Just applied for another 2K, instant yes again, 13.5K ;D
I'll try again tomorrow for 15K.

  • Obviously Egg have something against my husband - he has had an Egg card virtually from day one, and never ever missed a payment, so what is their problem??

It could be what he put for income, I did put an amount a little more than that. I'd be interested to see what people put for income who have the 15K limit.

  • oh well, they keep increasing it without asking, and his next anniversary deal isn't until next July, so we have plenty of time to try and get it increased. Will probably wait until around May, unless they do it themselves before then.

Myself, and two other guys in work have increased their egg limits to 15k in a matter of a fortnight. I had my egg card two months ago, and for a limit of 3.5k. Applied for 8k online about three weeks ago and got it increased instantly :o. Thought I would try my luck, and on the same day phoned egg and asked if more was available - he said how much do you want? - I said 12k - he ran it through the system, and I got turned down.

Two other guys in work were upping their limits through the online facility too - and were getting go increases.

Tried again few days later for 10k and got it. Following day applied for 12k and got it. Even though I was turned down a few days earlier. ;D

Following day I got 13k, then the day after 15k 8). So I have gone from 3.5k to 15k in a fortnight. Two othe guys had similar limits in work and got to 15k in a few weeks too. :D

Eggs upper limit I can confim is 15k - it is stated on a few sites is you do a search.

I did ask one of the customer services reps what the upper limit was, and they too said 15k - but they did say they would consider higher via thir credit dept. :-/Havent tried this though as I dont want to alert them to soo many increases in a short period of time. It does state on their site that if you have had an increase in the last 6 months, then you cant re-apply - I reckon its a bug in their system.

    Dont want th decision reversed!!!!
To Stooze or Not To Stooze - Theres only one option :D
  • Just applied for the £15K myself and it was instantly accepted.

Thanks for the info Samantha :)

    Pricy,

When you applied for ur Egg card - What did you put down for your salary..? or monthly income?

The only reason I ask this is becuase this is a big factor when it comes to setting credit limits?

    Thanks.
