£15,000 at 0% for 5 months from Egg

Which is the maximum credit limit possible?
Answer: £15,000.

Attention all Stoozers/Super-tarts

To obtain the maximum, use the automated request feature at their online bank. You may do so as soon as you know your log-in details.

Do not telephone. By requesting online it evades the use of a human to make the decision.

One may do this as many time as one wishes beacuse there is no credit check carried out. One may increase or decrease it at will. Up and down, just like a yo-yo.

By increasing my limit by £2000 each day, within one week I had obtained the £15,000 limit.

Come your Anniversary Offer month, near the beginning of this month pay off any balance first so as to obtain a zero balance, and only then SBT £15,000.

  • Depends on sooo many things.. income, how much credit you already have, what side of bed the underwriter got out of that day, how long is a piece of string  :)

No definative answer to this I'm afraid.. you could try asking people what their highest limit is...  ::)

I had a look on the site for you Samantha... couldn't find a maximum limit, unlike most CC sites
  • It must depend on their internal credit scoring and your salary.

For the record, my initial credit limit was a quarter of my salary. This then doubled (in effect) when I took out an Egg blue card as they matched the limit on my green card.

My initial credit grant was 4 grand, which was as much as i wanted anyway.
But people have been known to tell fibs about their income and to the best of my knowledge, no checks are ever made on this.
I told the truth by the way.

I earn £12K and was given £4K, then I waited until 3 -4 months had elapsed and applied for an increase, it's now £6K.

Husband earns £25K and was given £6K, again he's just asked for an increase and he's now getting £10K.

If that sheds any light on things
  • I've applied for an egg card via the current MSE deal on getting interest on money loaned from these cards, and they've given me an initial credit limit of £15K.

    Ridiculous!
  • Wouldbe interesting to know if anyones got higher than 15k with EGG ..
  • My limit is £15k, and when I asked for an increase it got declined - but that may have more to do with the fact that it's less than 3 months since I last had an increase on my Egg card. I'll try again in 3 months and let you know ;D
