So many things- not planning meals, buying what we fancied then throwing half away. We have literally halved our grocery bill by planning and shopping from a list- we haven't actually changed what we eat at all.

Expensive make-up and skin care that I never open or use once then move on to the next fad.

Books on work subjects because I thought they would make me better and more successful- did I think this would happen by osmosis as I never opened them, let alone read them!

Takeaways because neither of us could be bothered to cook- now have a fully stocked freezer for those lazy days so takeaways are now an odd treat rather than a labour saving strategy.

OMG...I read this and thought "Did I just type this without realising?".
    Are you really me?;)

Prior to our LBM 3 yrs back I wasted ££££££££££ on;:o oh this is a confess moment........I've never admitted this to anyone

1; ready chopped veg. pre-grated chees, ready snipped bacon....I can't bear to go on....it pains me. Even croutons  .

All of the above quote and more.

The best thing about my DFW journey; the thing we did miss the most was an Indian takeaway on a Friday. I bought a book (£4.99) and now make the most AMAZZZING Indian from scratch....and it's so cheap too (once the spices are in the cupboard).
I even fry the poppodums...much nicer.

Cheap mousturiser is just as good as the pricey stuff...I have finally realised this at 44.....but I still don't truly believe it....but one look in the mirror tells me it's true:D
  • Thought of another one no-one's mentioned but I bet I'm not alone - Fluffy, soft towels:o

    Been there, got-it-spend-it!

"Books on work subjects because I thought they would make me better and more successful- did I think this would happen by osmosis as I never opened them, let alone read them!"

If I had half the skills that the books I've got promised me I'd have, I'd not be on DFW...I'd be in huge demand as a multi-tasking know-it-all who could afford to retire.

The good thing is that those types of books to tend to sell quite well on Amazon to other people who believe in osmosis...at least I looked after the books by not reading them!;)
For what I've done...I start again...And whatever pain may come ...Today this ends... I'm forgiving what I've done -AF since June 2007
