Spending a fortune on "Super unleaded petrol" because the bloke at garage said it was good for my car...(pre internet days!)...then finding out 7 years later it was a waste of time. How many gallons?

"A bank* is a place where they lend you an umbrella in fair weather and ask for it back when it begins to rain."

(*Unless it's Santander. The branch says they sent you an umbrella 3 times already and don't understand why you don't have it yet and want it back right now!!!)
  • Two expensive photos at my cousins wedding - they ended up divorced 12 months later:o:eek::rolleyes:

HAH LOL Fitzmum can type/format quicker than I can - I bet she also didn't have to get up to get her kids something out of the fridge whilst she was typing her message!

:rotfl: No but I was playing these dratted bingo sites in the background - I had aptly named myself 'fightingkids' but was leaving hubby to sort it out!!!

BACKFRMTHEEDGE...I like your name...unfortunately, it reminds me of "Back From The Fridge" which is one of my major regrets...that I go there too often!

Not making more effort to pay off the debts a year or two ago when they were small and our income was decent.
Now were battling with increased debts, a much lower income and another mouth to feed (we had another baby because at the time we could afford it).

  • Wasting loads of money on lunches at work, not saving more when I was living at my mum and dad's for three months when we were in between houses-with no mortgage payments to be made, my mum did the shopping and yet I saved nothing at all even though I was pregnant-what a great idiot! Also not becoming money wise sooner-i actually shopped at Waitrose when I was on maternity leave and paid an absolute fortune on their nappies. I must have been crazy!
