i just joined and went last week - i wasnt overly impressed. Do the items they have change or is it basically the same all the time?
Yes, things change seasonally. So very soon you'll see the garden furniture disappear to be replaced by Christmas stuff.

Don't forget that if you don't like Costco you get a full refund of your membership charge at *any* point during the membership year. When I changed from personal to trade, my personal membership was refunded in full despite having less than two months to run.

We bought a Phillips juicer last week. On offer at Costco for £70 and the cheapest elsewhere is £89.99 at Comet/Curry, so a genuine £20 saving.

Does anyone know when they sell off their watersports equipment? A friend of mine bought one of the pelican canoes last summer at half price as they we're getting rid of stock and I'd like one this year before they all go

Costco used to send out a 'passport' to all members containing a series of money-off vouchers which could be redeemed against products in specific weeks of the promotion. The passports came out about 2 or 3 times a year and offered quite substantial savings on a wide range of products.

The latest voucher promotion contains around 50 vouchers which are valid for a month and include everything from wine to car tyres. I've just saved about £25 using these vouchers in my latest **huge** shop at Costco.

I rate them as the best of the best in terms of quality, customer service and product range.

Also, I just noticed that they've extended their TV guarantee 5 years, which makes them a no-brainer against John Lewis.

Well today I decided to go up and do a big shop. Got all excited, stopped at the cashline halfway there, and the bl**dy thing refused to give me any money. Went inside the bank and they couldnt help as it was a business card - they let me phone and it seems my PIN had been changed somehow. So I had to come back home and will need to wait for a new PIN. I was so mad I turned blue !!

Costco do a whole crispy duck for about £7 - complete with loads of pancakes and hoi sin sauce. It is amazing and such good value when you pay about £5 - £6 for 1/4 duck in the supermarkets.

I also bought some fab drinking cups for (linky) the children - pack of 4 for £7.99 (plus vat).

The wrapping paper is also great value - 240 sheets for £8.99 (plus vat)

These were all in Chester store
It's easier to get forgiveness than to ask permission ;)
