Hi,
Has anyone bought or know anything about the wood flooring for sale at Costco. They have an offer on the solid oak flooring this week which I'm tempted to buy, but haven't been able to find any info. about it on the internet. It's Forester Solid Wood Oak Flooring (1.248sq.m/£22.49) - I've found one website with a similar named product, but can't be sure it's the same...any thoughts /reviews much appreciated. Cheers.0 -
I'm afraid you have to maintain your membership for the warranty to be valid - at least that's what I was told when I bought my t.v. 2 years ago. Having said that, you can generally recoup the membership fee by way of the savings to be had.
Just for information. I asked about the warranty for my TV - was shown as 3 years on the ticket, but Costco are very good anyway and it goes like this:-
The 3 years is a warranty and you phone the number if there's a problem during warranty. Now this is the best bit " After that warranty is up, you can still take it back to us if it fails 'cos you'd expect a telly to last more than 3 years, wouldn't you? - that's what you pay your subscription for"
So there you have it0 -

I bought a trolley load today and I must say it's good quality stuff. According to the fitting instructions inside the boxes, it's supplied by Spectrim who are apparently "one of the major flooring wholesale businesses in the UK & Ireland". Link here - http://www.spectrim.co.uk/
Looking at their website, I'd imagine it's the same as the Elka range as the dimensions of the flooring and pack sizes match.
Just remember it's not as easy to fit as laminate so it will cost a bit more to have it installed properly. Also, having previously had a parquet floor I can tell you it will probably show marks and scuffs fairly quickly in a family environment. Personally I think a few dings here and there add to the charm of a natural floor, but you might not...0 -
