jellyhead wrote:your hospital uses washable nappies? that's great - do they provide them while you're there and wash them for you? my hospital has a leaflet about washables by the coffee machine and that's it. lots of sample disposables in the bounty packs, along with wipes and nappy sacks ...
yup...they use fuzzibunz (which I don't think are a great advert for reuseables as the poo really leaks out of the sides). First nappy baby wears is this, then any subsequent nappy changes are reuseables and you put them in a nappy bin for the hospital to wash. Baby gets sent home in one too, so you get one to take home. Apparently the only down side is that you have to walk down the corridor before a nappy change to get a clean nappy, rather than the pack of pampers by the bed.Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

That's excellent your hospital provides washable nappies.
I've not got my coupons either.

i iwsh my hospital used washables - i might have got some use out of my bambinos in there before roo got too fat for the wraps lol!
my sister got the pregnancy offers for free soltan etc. it's on BOGOF so she got 2 bottles for free :rotfl: she got the spray bottles of factor 30 green spray for kids, supposed to be £8.99 each. she also got a number 7 product for free but the extra points on no7 voucher from the machine didn't give her any extra points. i wonder if you can use the free med product voucher in conjunction with the 2 for 1 med voucher that was also in her mailing

i'm really pleased with the huggies one, i haven't got a changing bag and this one is much better than the bag i've been using. it has 2 compartments, 2 elasticated bits at the sides, 2 mesh bits at the sides on the outside and a zipped bit on the outside too, so plenty of space for storage. there's a travel changing mat inside, it's more padded and better than the ones they gave out free with the prima baby mag a while back. the bag has an adjustable strap and a shoulder pad for comfort, i really like it.
I was quite impressed with the changing bag as well, as I haven't bothered getting one as yet..still not entirely convinced I will be going anywhere outside the house in the early days with a new baby! I thought it was a decent size with lots of pockets , you can wipe it clean & the Huggies logo is quite discreet.
I also had the Boots baby shampoo instead of the colouring book thing you mentioned, so that will come in handy at some point.
Feel like I'm just waiting to pop now, only two weeks to go for me.0 -
oooh, it could be any time now then

i've been out much more than i expected, shopping in boots and asda, although i suppose you could get it all delivered. we've also had lots of relatives to visit, none of my husbands family live nearby. it just so happens that there are theme parks all over the place that we *have* to go to so my 9 year old doesn't feel pushed out by the new baby, although i think that's just an excuse because my husband is roller coaster mad! but i use the changing bag all the time, even if i just go round the corner to my mum's house. roo's always starving so we can't go very far without a supply of bottles!
my mum joined the club too and gave me her vouchers so i can get another bag, isn't she naughty lol!52% tight0 -

i use a disposable at night, so i just bought a pck in the next size up, knowing they'll get used eventually. if you don't use disps at all maybe you could donate them to someone? worth it for a changing bag ... you could just buy the size 1 newborn pack at £3.5952% tight0
