If they will let you, worth ringing, as it's no longer available on the comparison sites.
However these tariffs were only available via comparison sites and not to those who phone in. It may be that only those who are currently EDF customers who phone in will get the tariff as now EDF know they have lost many customers over this they are desperate for at least some business.
too late then only within last 2 weeks I left edf because they refused to put me back on the online v5 tariff which I was on in the first place. The guy simply did not care I left.0 -

Yeah, probably, might be worth seeing what they say though.
I left EDF too, I was on Version 1 of the tariff, so did get 3 years of low cost energy.
They wouldn't switch me to V5, asked them several times and they wouldn't budge. So I left.
My Gas switched over a couple of days back and my electricity switched just over week before that (separate suppliers now, as it worked out cheaper). It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0 -

I'm also an EDF customer just come to the end of my fixed rate deal and got a letter saying I would now be on the standard tariff. As my gas is not supplied by Transco there are extra charges from some other suppliers (not EDF) and on comparing deals I found that any savings made by switching suppliers would be minimal for this reason.
Alos I've always been quite satisfied with EDF (unlike some other people who have posted on this forum!) because I've got my direct debit at the right level for my usage and in the past I've rung them up (free phone number) to reduce the direct debits and request a refund as I've been in credit, and there's never been any problem with this at all. I read my own meters so no problems there or with submitting my readings online. Also the direct debit and dual fuel discounts are monthly and not annually.
Rang EDF today to ask to change to Online v5 and although the guy had to ring me back it's all been sorted. So it does look as if existing customers at least are now able to go on the online tariff by ringing up.nyarlathotep0 -
Hi we are also EDF customers whose fixed rate has come to an end and looking at options. Doeas Online v give you a decent deal? Not sure what this can you explain?0

Online version 5 is a tariff that is (or was) only available to new customers who signed up through one of the comparison sites. It is called version 5 as it is the fifth version of the tariff that EDF have released. Every now and again, EDF stop selling version X of the tariff and start selling version Y, but customers on version X normally keep paying the same prices. If you went direct to EDF the online tariff is not available, and AFAIK the prices are not shown anywhere on EDF's website.
The Online V5 tariff prices are different to the standard prices, so if you want to stay with EDF you should compare which is best for you. You can get the prices either by using one of the comparison sites or by calling EDF.0 -
Altarf the comaprison sites now show EDFs standard tariff.0

Obviously they have now withdrawn it to new customers, so it may or may not now be available to existing customers.0
