Hi, can someone please clarify what sort of card you need to use to avoid the card fee.
I have just paid with a Visa Debit card but have been charged £1 per ticket.
TIA
Hopeless
ps I avoided paying it last year but can't remember what card I paid withHopeless by name, hopeless by nature.0 -
It wouldn't accept my Electron card last night, I tried three or four times. In the end I decided to use my Visa credit card as even with the charge it's still great. I do feel a bit cheated though.:smileyhea "here, hare, here" :smileyhea0

Do your proposed dates also exclude these?
Blackout Period:01 May - 06 May 08 all routes to/from UK & Ireland
08 May - 13 May all routes to/from Germany
22 May - 27 May 08 all routes to/from UK
29 May - 03 Jun 08 all routes to/from IrelandNotes on this fare:All Holidays, School Breaks and Major Sporting Events are excluded from this offer
Just double-checked, actually Stansted-Porto isn't included in the 1p offer anyway, cheapest fare you'll get will be £10 each way inc. tax (but not baggage, nor card handling unless you use Electron).
Qualifying routes from Stansted: http://www.ryanair.com/site/EN/fares.php?dest=SZZ&base=STN&pos=cday
Thanks for that but yesterday I have checked all those T&Cs and also Stansted-Porto was in the table containing the 1p flight availability. I wouldn't say what I've said before confirming everything. Also, CS confirmed that it was included but said it was already sold out.Goal: Win a car (or cash to buy one
)! -- Haha goal from when I was a student. Never actually won this but got a good job instead.
What I achieved:
Car paid in full straightaway.
Two properties fully paid. Wohhoooo!0 -

I just managed to get 3 x 1p flights from Birmingham to Dublin on the 9th Apr
Here are some handy hints:

Help please.
I was lucky enough to book some 1p flights but when I checked out I was charged £60.06, I have telephone Ryan air who just told me I got a good price and the £20 per person is for taxes, I tried to argue that it states no hidden charges but it got me know where. My account is now going to be over drawn so all in all I may as well have paid full fair.
Phone call 40 minutes
flights £60.06
Bank charges..........depend how they feel.0 -
I have just managed to get 3 x 1p flights (for me, sis and mum whom all have passports) and 1 x £8 flight (for dad who lives in the dark ages and only has a photo driving licence) from Birmingham to Dublin on the 8th Apr
Here are some handy hints:
- The flights which are 1p - you need to select them and it will say NO TAXES on the righthand side. If it says anything like webfare or regfare you will charged taxes
- Choose online check in and 0 bags for those with a passport
- Remove the insurance - drop down box - something like no insurance needed.
- Finally I had to pay for dad separately. It did not like me putting three online check-in's and one airport check-in. That meant dad was slightly more expensive at £8
HTH's someone
I can't wait... I've always wanted to go to Ireland!!! Yipee!!!0 -

Polly,
When you have got some dates search them. You should get options to choose your flights and most say 1p. Select the ones you want and a box should appear on the righthand side.
In this box look for NO TAXES. If it says regfare or webfare you will be charged taxes (even if the flight is only 1p). If your chosen flights do not come up with NO TAXES then those flights are not in the offer...
Persevere, I did and got a bargain!

I'm being dim, but can't work out why UK Airport Tax is sometimes applied and sometimes not.
I'm finding some flights without it, some with.
