Getting free entrance for yourself (& partner?) is a good saving isn't it? If you want to take the children then pay for them and think what you have saved on the adult entry fees?
:money: Money saving is money saving!
but on the other hand, sometimes if you keep pressing you can get things totally free- which is even better moneysaving;)0 -

Thing is, with a family, getting the adults in free then having to pay full kids price for your children is not very moneysaving, comparatively. Most theme parks have 2 for 1 offers around pretty much all the time, very few families are stupid/rich enough to ever pay full whack for every adult and child on such outings!
This offer is not much better than the 2for1 offers you can pick up sometimes at Supermarkets or on product packaging. I, for one, won't be rushing to use this offer with my family of 2 adults & 4 children - in my case we would be worse off with this offer than using 3 lots of 2for1 tickets we could probably get fairly easily elsewhere.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Financial Times. Noticed this in shop last night and looked up the details online. Ring up the restaurant from the list online and quote the offer. Then simply turn up carrying a copy of the paper. It's only on for the next week but might be nice for a treat. ft.com/lunch (brings you to their partner's website). If you write a review of your meal you can win a holiday. Edit - it ends on 2nd March.0

Do you need to buy the star for the MOT offer? My cars is due in April, so wouldnt mind checking the price etc. It's likely been bumped up to start with. I remember the days when MOTs were less than a tenner!
Yes.
The coupon is basically a 20% off voucher when taking a MOT AND Interim Service (£79.20 including discount) or MOT AND Full Service.
It says worth UP TO £39.80 - so I presume the MOT & FULL Service will be £159.20 ??
It is valid until 30th AprilThere are 10 types of people in the world. ‹(•¿•)›(11)A104.28S94.98O112.46N86.73D101.02(12)J130.63F126.76M134.38A200.98M156.30J95.56J102.85A175.93

I agree this situation wouldn't effect me, I have a 1 year old and a 6 month old but I completely sympathise a day out for a family with a few children can work out very expensive and I too (when i have my next child) will be looking at the cheapest ways to do things. Thank you for the constructive comments. I find it rather hurtful when people make disparaging remarks. This forum is about making AS MUCH MONEY AS POSSIBLE and I am not ashamed at trying to do so. It has also proved very fruitful; my husband is on a low wage and I gave up work to mind the kiddies yet we have no debt bar our mortgage.
We take the children to Blackpool pleasure beach every year and also on 3 foreign holidays. Pleasure beach is done with deals, the others aren't. So, I don't get everything for free. To get a free day out at alton towers is a massive bonus. Also it costs us £25 in petrol to get there, so to pay then for another adult (Cos our DD is 13) and a child would be another 50 odd quid. We'd be paying nearly £80, which is a LOT of money! Plus it is £4 to park.
I also have a mortgage, bills, car to run, insurances to pay, food to buy clothes to buy etc etc, so I hardly get everything for free.
A free day out at alton is a great thing to get and I'm not ashamed at wanting to get us all in free.I shall send for 2 anyway and hope that maybe I can swap one with someone on here. Last yr the sun and the express did free days out for everyone so as the season goes on, fingers crossed for some more. Thanks to all the people on the newspaper thread who work so hard to bring us all these offers. I've bought 2 suns this morning anyway for the money off coupons, and used a 50p and 2 25p ones on the way home from football.I can be brown I can be blue I can be violet and sky. I can be hurtful I can be purple I can be anything you like..Gotta be green gotta be mean gotta be everything more...0
